When Henry called her, Scarlett was picking a book in the study.
She was rarely free. It was raining, and she was not in a good mood, so she wanted to read to relax and learn something.
"Mr. Anderson?"
"You've seen the news, right?"
Henry was straightforward as usual. Scarlett smiled." Yes. I've troubled your dad."
Henry snorted. "No. I didn't ask him to say that! He was simply expressing his appreciation for you. Now things have gone too far, so he just called me. He said that he was sorry to get you in trouble and asked me t o treat you to a meal."
Scarlett knew that Clair said so just out of politeness. Henry took it seriously, but she didn't. "I'm not a celebrity. These things won't affect me."
People were just excited about the news. Anyway, most of the netizens were complimenting her, which made Scarlett feel much better.
"My dad ordered me. I don't dare to disobey it! When will you be free? Let's have a meal together."
The incident caused an uproar on the Internet.
Scarlett was afraid to have a meal with Henry. "Mr. Anderson, thank you, but I don't want to go out to eat lately."
"Don't you want to make your ex-husband angry?"
Scarlett laughed. "He and I got divorced friendly."
Although she was resentful at that time, she managed to calm down and divorce him peacefully.
There was no quarrel. He just threw some barbs at her before they divorced.
Furthermore, she was already 27. She didn't want to play such childish and clumsy tricks.
The person who couldn't forget the past was the loser. She wanted to be the winner, so she was trying to take Raymond as an ordinary acquaintance.
That was all.
Henry didn't believe it but didn't want to make her sad. "Alright, I won't force you, but my dad likes you very much. He will hold his 60th birthday party next week. Will you go with me to give him a surprise?"
