Not long after leaving the hall, Scarlett saw Raymond o n the phone in the corridor.
Scarlett did not know who was talking to Raymond on the phone or what he was saying, but Raymond was frowning and looking terrible.
He was in a bad mood.
Seeing Scarlett, he immediately hung up the phone and stood there looking at her.
Scarlett moved towards him and smiled faintly," Thank you, for those words."
She was truly grateful to him.
Raymond looked at her, swallowing, "Not at all."
He knew that she had suffered a lot in the three years she married him.
Thinking about what Frank said on the phone, he had a lump in his throat and did not know how to bring up those things.
Alexander was right. He was not the one who had bullied Scarlett, but it was because of his treatment of Scarlett that they had dared to do so.
Scarlett was confused by his reaction and raised her eyebrows, "I'll go to the lounge."
But she couldn't care less how he reacted.
Then, she moved towards the elevator.
"Scarlett."
Raymond called her. His deep voice seemed to suppress something, but she had no interest in probing.
She looked back, frowning, "Yes?"
'Is there anything we haven't cleared up between us?' Scarlett thought.
Raymond never found it so hard to ask a question.
"You must have a hard time those three years, huh?"
He wanted to hear the answer from her, though he knew this question was meaningless and even hurtful.
