As soon as Scarlett opened the door, she could smell wine on Raymond, which was quite awful. She had never seen him so drunk.
"Scarlett.”
Putting his hand against the door to support himself u p, Raymond looked down at her. Then he raised his hand and pointed to his throat. "I'm very thirsty.
Would you please pour me a glass of water?”
Scarlett raised her eyebrows in surprise. Thinking that he was heavily drunk, she didn't expect him to still be aware of his physical state and even come here to ask for water.
It was so quiet in the hotel's corridor at midnight.
Scarlett stood for a few seconds before taking a step back and said, "Please come in and sit down."
Without Hilla around, she had to boil some water for him.
Raymond followed Scarlett into the room. After sitting down, he looked up at Scarlett, who was putting the kettle on at the entrance. He was somewhat absentminded.
He had thought she would kick him out.
After pressing the button on the kettle, Scarlett leaned
against the cabinet at the entrance and turned to look at Raymond sitting on the sofa. He was looking up at her, but his eyes were a little dull. She couldn’t figure out what was on his mind.
The radiator warmed the whole room up. After sitting for a while, Raymond felt a little hot, and he raised his hand to unbutton his shirt.
After unbuttoning one, he seemed to feel it was still so hot. Then he raised his slender index finger and began to unbutton the second one.
The neckline of his shirt was open wide, revealing his collarbones on both sides.
Although he was a man, his delicate collarbones could make a woman envy.
The kettle began to whistle. Scarlett looked away from Raymond and poured some hot water into a cup halffilled with cold water. Holding the cup in her hand, she walked to the sofa and bent over to put it in front o f him.
