Scarlett swallowed the milk. Then she took the cake o n the plate and smiled. "Thank you."
She was not modest.
Henry also smiled. And then the two did not continue t o talk.
After breakfast, Scarlett went back to the hotel to put her things in the suitcase and then followed Henry downstairs to the airport.
Because she didn't sleep well last night, she closed her eyes and fell asleep on the way to the airport.
After the security check, the two were waiting in the VIP room, as there were forty minutes before the airplane took off.
"What do you think of my dad's proposal?"
Scarlett raised her eyebrows. "I thought Mr. Anderson was just joking."
Henry stared at her. "How could it be a joke? My father said that before so many people."
Scarlett knew that was not a joke, but she was shocked.
Seeing that she fell silent, Henry explained," Everything my dad said last night was true. He kept
saying in front of me, how wonderful it would be if I was a girl! He really wants a daughter. But my mother passed away early, so he could only dream of it. Now h e has met you. He couldn’t wait to be your godfather."
Scarlett smiled. "Considering the status of your family, it's easy for Mr. Anderson to be the godfather of any girl."
Henry didn't know what she was thinking about. "But my dad just likes you."
Henry was telling the truth.
Clair had a very high social status and saw much of the world, so he would not favor a person easily.
Seeing that he was serious, Scarlett also became serious. "Thank you. After I think about it clearly, I’ll give Mr. Anderson the answer in person."
Henry didn't force her. "You don't have to be under pressure. Anyway, just do as you like. My dad is getting old, so he is always woolgathering."
