Scarlett's grandma passed away with one hand over Scarlett's face and the other hand on her back.
Scarlett crouched there until Viviana propped her up." Darling, get up. Your grandmother has left us."
Scarlett moved but her legs were numb, and her eyes were red when she looked up.
She accompanied her grandma these two days. She thought the affection between relatives was strange. The Tank family had looked for them for more than thirty years, and her grandma hung on just to wait for her mother.
Although Scarlett had never contacted the Tank family in the past 27 years, she felt sad.
A passing nurse found that the old lady had passed away, but she saw Scarlett lying on her knees. It was s o warm and loving that the nurse didn't have the heart to disturb her. Thus, she informed the Tanks.
Scarlett had been in the hospital staying with her grandma for several days. Viviana came over at noon and in the evening. Rowan didn't come here again after that day.
He probably knew that his wife was dying.
His wife had been with him for more than 50 years. It
was difficult for this tough man to watch her leaving him.
After receiving the call from the hospital, Viviana told her husband and son about it. The whole family came t o the hospital almost at the same time.
Viviana and Rowan were the first to arrive, standing far away from Scarlett on the corridor. They saw Scarlett lying on her grandma's knees. Viviana couldn't hold back her tears.
Although Larry was a reserved and cold man, his eyes were red when he hurried to the hospital and saw this.
They calmed down at the end of the corridor before walking over and calling Scarlett.
Scarlett looked at Rowan and the others. "Grandma said something when she passed away, but I couldn't hear her."
Viviana smiled with red eyes. "It's okay. Your grandmother probably just praised you."
Everyone had known that Scarlett's grandma was seriously ill, but they didn't know about Scarlett.
Rowan's nephew's wife was very sharp-eyed. As soon as she brought her two daughters into the mansion, she saw Scarlett. The mother and daughters were curious about Scarlett, but it was a special occasion. They were not so stupid as to ask about her.
Along the way, several people were looking curiously a t Scarlett.
Scarlett noticed it, but she was in no mood to deal
with them.
She followed Larry into the car. The car sent by the funeral home was next to them. Her grandma was already inside.
During the forty minutes of the cremation, Scarlett, Larry, and their elders were silent, their young relatives were chatting. Some were talking about Scarlett.
The ashes were boxed. According to the rules, the box should be held by the eldest son or grandson of the dead, but Rowan said to Ben, "Your mother passed away in front of Scarlett. Though she couldn't speak, you should know that she loved Scarlett. Let Scarlett send her."
