The way those Rowan's grandnephews looked at Scarlett during the funeral yesterday also made Rowan uncomfortable.
As his granddaughter, how dare they size Scarlett up?
"You plan this party as soon as possible after your grandmother's funeral."
As Scarlett listened to Rowan's words, she was touched by the fact that the Tank family really didn't want her to suffer any aggravation.
After Rowan hung up the phone, Scarlett said," Grandpa, actually, you don't have to be in such a hurry. And my grandmother just passed away. It's not appropriate to do so."
After all, Rowan was planning a party right after her grandmother passed away. Therefore, others might denigrate them behind the Tank family's back because of that upcoming party.
Rowan snorted and said, "How dare they judge our family? Your grandmother has waited for you for so many years. She might have been happier if she had publicly acknowledged you as our Tank family's granddaughter before she passed away!"
Scarlett naturally believed what Rowan said, but
people would gossip. "Grandpa, isn't your birthday party being held in August? And you have more guests coming to your birthday party. Perhaps it would be better if you announced my identity then."
Rowan thought for a moment and decided she was right. "You're right."
Scarlett smiled. "I've been through all these years. As long as you, my uncle, and my brother know me, I'm fine. I don't care about anyone else."
Hearing Scarlett's words, Rowan felt sad. "Don't worry. As long as I am here, no one will bully you!"
Scarlett felt very embarrassed. In fact, she hadn't really met anyone who could bully her for so many years.
However, she naturally would not refuse Grandpa's care for her. "As long as I have you, then of course no one dares to bully me."
Although Kate passed away, that was a relief for her. And she was smiling when she passed away. She must have died with no regrets.
