Scarlett felt there was no point in continuing the conversation with Raymond. He was so stubborn! She didn't want to talk to him any more.
So Scarlett pushed him away, turned and went straight back to her room.
She didn't care what happened to him.
She was very upset now, even more upset than the day she just divorced Raymond.
Scarlett always thought that when she and Raymond divorced, it would all be over.
But now he came to tell her that it was not over, not only that it was not over, but that it was just the beginning.
What should she do? She had been walking alone on this path for seven or eight years, and she was really tired.
It was still raining outside the window, and she didn't know when it would stop.
In the empty room, her stomach suddenly growled.
Scarlett was stunned and looked at the electronic clock on the bedside cupboard. It was almost 1:00, and she hadn't had lunch yet.
It was pouring outside, and if she had ordered at this time, it would have taken more than an hour to arrive.
Scarlett washed her face and calmed herself down.
She went downstairs again, and Raymond was answering the phone.
When he saw her coming down from upstairs, he glanced over at her, "I'll have food delivered."
Scarlett walked over to the table and poured herself a glass of water.
Raymond was still talking on the phone. After hanging up the phone, he sat on the sofa and looked at her, "Scarlett."
The white shirt made his face even paler. Scarlett glanced at him and drank. She didn't want to talk to him.
