Emelia held up three fingers of her right hand, "What does this amount, Ms. Reed, sound to you?"
"Thirty million dollars?"
Emelia was stunned at Scarlett's words, "Thirty million dollars, Ms. Reed, all you have to do is to ask M r. Shaw for a favor. And you're asking me for thirty million dollars. You're asking for too much, aren't you?"
Scarlett looked at her, "Ms. Esparza, are you trying to get me to settle this whole thing for $3 million?"
Then Scarlett paused, as Emelia had just done, "Ms. Esparza, you're looking down upon yourself. Is your future worth only three million dollars" Scarlett asked with sarcasm.
Emelia could hear the sarcasm in Scarlett's words. Her face became awful. But she really had no one else t o turn to but Scarlett.
She could have gone to Raymond's sister. But not long ago, Tiffany was kicked out of the Shaw Residence by Raymond.
Emelia was not stupid. Tiffany had been kicked out by Raymond, so what good could her words do in front of Raymond?
But Scarlett was different. After all, this matter started because of Scarlett.
Emelia had no other choice but to endure the humiliation and beg Scarlett, "Ms. Reed, I can't get $30 million for now. We-"
'Oh, no money, huh?'
Scarlett didn't want to waste any more time with her," Ms. Esparza, I'm sorry. Do you know how much money I make in a day?"
Emelia frowned, "How much do you make a day?"
"Not much. Just a few million, maybe."
Scarlett gave a conservative estimate for the sake of rigor.
