Scarlett was stunned for a moment and was amused b y Alexis. "Do you only care about money?"
"What's wrong with that? People are always torn between money and love, so wouldn't it be better to just care about money?"
For a moment, Scarlett felt that what Alexis said made sense. "Did Justin sign over all his property to you?"
Alexis nodded. "Yes. Didn't I tell you? Ah, I was so happy that I forgot to tell you."
Scarlett felt that Alexis was too lovey-dovey. She smiled slightly at Alexis. "You said this on purpose, didn't you?"
"Huh-uh."
Alexis suddenly said seriously, "Anyway, no matter what you decide to do, be sure to make yourself happy. As long as you won't be as sad as before, I won't object to your remarrying him."
Scarlett was touched. "Thank you."
"Let's drop it. I was just shopping with Justin, but the paparazzi chased me! I'm so angry!"
Yet she was also surprised to know that her bestie was in a relationship.
Alexis felt a little sad.
Scarlett raised an eyebrow. "You've been married for more than half a year. When will you make it public?"
Alexis was stunned for a moment." I want to wait until I get an Oscar."
Scarlett couldn't help smiling. "Oh, then you are not going to make it public."
"Doesn't your conscience trouble you for laughing at m e like this?"
Scarlett took a sip of water. "No. I have no conscience."
Alexis was speechless.
She wanted to end her relationship with Scarlett!
Alexis came here to hide from the paparazzi. She had almost disappeared from the Internet these days. She wondered why the paparazzi still pursued her.
Scarlett tutted, remembering the second time she saw him, Raymond was also cold and proud.
Scarlett collected her thoughts, walked over, and took her seat.
Raymond hung up the phone at the sight of her. "Your dress is beautiful."
Scarlett looked down at her skirt. "Thanks. I like it too.
"But I think you're more beautiful."
Raymond said and poured her a glass of coffee. "Be careful not to burn your mouth."
Scarlett watched him push the glass to her. As she took it, Raymond didn't withdraw his hand. He touched the back of her hand gently. Scarlett didn't know if he did that intentionally.
Scarlett's heart beat faster. She didn't say anything, lowering her head and sipping her coffee.
Raymond stared at her, his eyes gleaming. "What chicanery did you give your friend?"
