Flirting With My Ex-husband novel Chapter 4

"Mrs. Sh-, Miss Reed."

Frank was really not used to changing the term of address all of a sudden. He almost made a mistake again and again.-

Scarlett got rid of the hand around her head with force when she heard someone calling out to her. Just as she lifted her head from Mark's arms, she saw that Raymond's secretary had unknowingly squeezed into the center of the trouble.

"Secretary Lewis, is something wrong?"

Frank staggered somewhat embarrassedly as he was pushed by those reporters and could not stand steadily. He barely managed to stand firmly after several seconds. "Miss Reed, Mr. Shaw asked you to go over."

Scarlett raised her eyebrow after she heard that. She looked past Frank to look at the black car more than ten meters away.

She could not see the person inside clearly due to the special car windows, but she could feel that the person inside was looking at her.

Scarlett curled her lips and responded, "I'm sorry, Secretary Lewis. Please tell Mr. Shaw that in order to avoid suspicion, it’s better for us to act like strangers i f we meet in the future.”

The surrounding reporters were shooting questions one after another. Mark was worried that an accident might happen if his fans came, hence he tugged at Scarlett. "Get in the car first." 1

Scarlett also had nothing else to say. She nodded and went with Mark's force to sit in the car.

As soon as Scarlett fastened her seatbelt, a huge bunch of Mark’s fans swarmed out. The scene was extremely spectacular. Scarlett was glad that she had gotten in the car. Otherwise, she would likely have her arms broken by those female fans.

The Maserati drove into the traffic and gradually left behind those fans and reporters who were still trying t o follow closely.

"Elder Sister Scarly, were you hurt?"

Scarlett glanced at him and answered, "Don't listen to Alexis too much in the future.”

She was wondering what surprise it would be, but she ended up receiving such a show.

Scarlett had a headache when she thought about how she would soon become Mark's scandalous girlfriend and be discussed on the internet.

Mark raised his eyebrow. “I think that Elder Sister Alexis made a good move."

Scarlett was so mad that she laughed. "After being with her for a long time, have you also been corrupted?"

"Elder Sister Scarly, don't accuse me. I just can’t stand watching you being bullied, even if that person is Raymond Shaw.”

The traffic light ahead was red. Mark turned his head t o look at Scarlett. He looked serious and sincere.

Scarlett was somewhat touched from the bottom of her heart. She smiled. "Don't worry, no one can bully m e."

What could the Shaw family do?

Scarlett had only let them domineer over her because she naively thought that Raymond would one day give his heart to her.

Now that she had seen through it, she naturally would not let those people ride on her back anymore.

Frank watched the Maserati drive away before he came back to his senses. Those reporters who were surrounding him just now had also swarmed away with the protagonist.

He stood there and looked at the black car not far away, not knowing how he should explain this to Raymond.

"Mr. Shaw."

Frank returned to the car and looked at Raymond. " Miss Reed isn't willing to come over."

Raymond responded with a cold face, "I'm not blind."

He saw everything clearly from the car when Scarlett followed the male celebrity into his car.

Frank pursed his lips and added, "Miss Reed asked me to deliver a message to you.”

Raymond seemed to look slightly better after he heard that. "What did she say?"

'At least she's sensible enough to ask Frank to deliver me a message.'

"Miss Reed said that in order to avoid suspicion, it’s better for you to act like strangers if you meet in the future."

Scarlett looked at him and asked, "What's the matter? You were quite good at causing trouble. Now that it’s time to settle the account, you dare to act but dare not bear the responsibility?"

Now that they put up such a show for her, it would be difficult for her to not be famous.

Mark smiled while pushing the door open for her. " Every injustice has its perpetrator and every debt its debtor. Elder Sister Alexis was the one who planned everything."

Scarlett grinned. "Alright, go back and rest. You rarely get a day off and yet you came out to work. The company won't give you a model worker reward.”

"As long as you don’t blame me."

Mark left sensibly after he finished.

Scarlett closed the door and lifted her legs to walk into the luxurious office. After going around the corner, she saw Alexis slouching on the couch. "Do your fans know that you don't know how to sit properly in private?"

Alexis did not care about her ridicule at all. She held a tablet and waved at her. "Lettie, come here, you're trending!"

"It wasn’t you who arranged for me to be a trending topic?"

Alexis pulled Scarlett to sit next to her. "Look, what do you think about being a trending topic? I'd like to see i f those people will still dare to laugh at you for sticking to Raymond desperately and aren't wanted at all!"

She shoved the tablet into Scarlett's hand. "Don't worry, I've made all the arrangements. Today is Mark. Once Juan returns from his commercial shoot in a few days, it'll be his turn!"

Scarlett had not yet recovered her new identity as "the little older sister whom Mark has crushed on for many years". She was made speechless after she heard what Alexis said.

That said, Alexis felt that it was not enough. She thought that now that Scarlett had broken free of her misery after suffering so much in the Shaw family over the years, she naturally wanted to hold her head high and hit those who scolded her hard.

"Of course, you've divorced Raymond today, so we must have a happy bachelorette party! I’ve arranged everything and booked out Night Party to show Queen Lettie's aura of a tycoon!" 2 "... Are you paying for the venue?” The smile on Alexis' face froze a little. "Ohm, uh, I'd look too insincere if I pay for it!"

Scarlett scoffed. "If you don’t have money, why are you pretending to be generous?"

"I might not have money, but you do!"

'A bad friend!'
