Alexis snorted, "I’ve always been smart."
Scarlett answered obediently, "Yes, you have."
"..." Alexis felt she was being ridiculed again.
After she had hung up, Scarlett looked at the time. It was after nine o’clock.
It was time for her to brush her teeth and go to bed.
Hardly had she reached the third floor when the doorbell rang.
Scarlett raised her eyebrows. Raymond was the only person she could think of visiting her at this hour.
Sure enough, Scarlett opened the entry door and saw Raymond standing in the distance outside the gate of her villa.
In the moonlight, this man looked at her from afar, and his black eyes were very soft.
Scarlett's heart was beating hard for a second and she lowered her eyes. Then she went over and opened the door, "Mr. Shaw, are you up so late?"
Raymond reached out his hand to take her hand, "Honey, I miss you."
Scarlett suddenly blushed. She wondered why everyone she spoke to tonight called her Honey.
"How much did you drink?"
Raymond was sweating alcohol, and Scarlett smelled it as she approached him. Now that he was standing next to her, the smell was even more obvious.
"Four glasses."
Scarlett glanced sideways at him, "So much?"
"Yes."
Raymond answered softly and took her by the hand as they entered the villa.
"I’m thirsty, Scarlett."
He sat on the sofa, raised his hands and rubbed his temples. He looked a little uncomfortable.
