Although far from the crowd, they were still at the beach. Some people occasionally strolled past them.
The lively music and people's voices came from afar. The sound of waves lapping the reefs was clear. Scarlett's heart pounded.
Raymond had just let go of her when a couple walked over.
There was no light here. It was dark. They couldn’t see each other clearly in the moonlight.
Scarlett glanced at Raymond, pinching him in the waist. "Shameless!"
Raymond looked down at her. His eyebrows twitched. "We're not having an
affair."
How could she say he was shameless?
Scarlett chuckled. "Raymond!"
He kissed her in public. Wasn’t he unashamed?
Seeing her pretending to be angry, Raymond smiled, his eyes crinkling. He took her soft hand with his big palm. "Then can I kiss you after we go back?"
Scarlett laughed with resignation. "Aren't you afraid of my grandfather?"
As he thought of Rowan, Raymond's passion calmed down.
To be honest, Rowan kept staring at them like that. Raymond felt like he and Scarlett were having an affair.
It was late. Scarlett yawned. The beach was still very lively, but she was a little drowsy.
Raymond glanced down at her. "Let’s go back." "Okay."
Scarlett followed him back to the hotel.
At seven o'clock the next morning, the alarm clock went off. Scarlett opened her eyes.
The sunlight outside the floor-to-ceiling windows was strong. She could see it through the tightly closed curtains.
