Although Scarlett didn't tell Rowan what Jessie did last time, Rowan saw through Jessie's tricks easily. After all, he had experienced a lot up to now.
Scarlett helped Roman go downstairs. When Roman saw Jessie, he frowned slightly and asked, "Jessie, why don't you come home to have dinner?"
When Jessie saw Roman, she smiled and was about to come up to curry favor with Roman. After she heard what he had said, the smile froze on her face. She said embarrassedly, "My parents will eat outside today."
Roman glanced at Jessie and said, "Alright, we have enough food for you." Although he said so, he asked Jessie why she didn't come home to have dinner when he saw her. He showed that she was unwelcome here.
Timothy and Cyrus flushed, but they couldn't leave. The Tank family was reluctant to deal with them recently. If they left, the Tank family would dislike them more.
They were in a dilemma. Either leaving or keeping staying here would make them embarrassed.
Jessie was stuck for words for the time being.
Scarlett helped Roman have a seat. Then she sat beside him.
Jessie saw that. She felt resentful and said, "Ms. Reed, isn't it Larry's seat?"
Before Scarlett said something, Larry said coldly, "We don't have so many rules."
Jessie was humiliated by them again. Her face turned ashen in anger. She stared at Scarlett.
After all, Timothy and Cyrus were Jessie's brothers. Seeing that Jessie was humiliated because of Scarlett again and again, Timothy couldn't help but ask," Grandpa, what's the relationship of Ms. Reed and you?"
Roman said casually, "She is my granddaughter. I find her not long ago."
Although it was true, Jessie, Timothy and Cyrus didn't believe it.
Hearing what Roman had said, Jessie glanced at Scarlett again. 'She is so lucky that even Roman likes her!'
Viviana changed the topic, "I know that you like to eat fish. The fish is fresh today."
Viviana said as she picked up the fish.
