In the three years when Scarlett and Raymond were married, Tiffany and her friends had played many tricks on Scarlett as Jessie did.
Scarlett was used to such things. Thus, as she was Jessie walking to the pond, Scarlett knew what Jessie wanted to do.
When Jessie reached over, Scarlett quickly dragged her hand away. To satisfy Jessie, Scarlett even "thoughtfully" pushed her.
Jessie fell into the pond with a plump.
The frightened silver carp hid under the rock.
The water in the pond was just about a meter deep. Jessie could swim. She stood
up after a while with a scream.
Jessie didn't expect Scarlett to push her into the water. Jessie almost choked in the water. Although the water inside the pond was changed every day by cleaners, there were so many fish in it. The water in her mouth was dirty.
The fishy taste made Jessie mad. She was furious. "How dare you push me!"
Larry came through the gate. He glanced at Scarlett. Seeing that she was fine, he then looked at Jessie. "It's not the first time you've come here. How could you fall into the pond?"
Jessie was stunned for a moment. Before she could say that Scarlett pushed her, Larry told Scarlett, "Go in. There are many mosquitoes here."
Scarlett took a look at Jessie in the pond. smiling and nodding. "Okay."
After that, Scarlett turned to leave.
Jessie stood in the water. Her dress was wet. She was too embarrassed to climb out of the pond.
Looking at Scarlett's back, Jessie was going crazy. "Larry! Scarlett pushed me into the pond!"
Larry glanced at her. "You’re not a little girl. Why are you still so childish?"
The summer night outside was hot and muggy. Jessie didn't feel cold when she just fell into the water, but Larry's eyes sent a chill down her spine.
Jessie stiffened, not daring to accuse Scarlett anymore.
After standing for a while, a bold fish swam to her side. Jessie felt a bit
nauseous. She stretched out her hand, wanting Larry to pull her up. "Help me. I can't climb out."
Larry frowned. "I'll ask someone to get you a towel."
He turned into the villa.
