Hearing this, Scarlett raised an eyebrow. " Why did you ask me that?"
Cindy pursed her lips, trying to tempt Scarlett. "He's poor now. He doesn't deserve you. Stephen is different. He's handsome, intelligent, and wealthy. He will inherit the James family property. You're a good match! Besides, if you marry into our family, I promise I’ll give up my inheritance and give it all to my nephew!"
Scarlett was amused. "Does your brother know you have such a bold idea?"
Cindy laughed. "No."
It didn’t matter if he knew about that or not. Cindy believed that Stephen would fall in love with Scarlett because she was so wonderful.
Cindy worshiped Scarlett blindly. Scarlett was her goddess.
Scarlett stroked Cindy's head. "If you want a sister-in-law so badly, just try to find one for your brother."
Scarlett thought, "Don't always put your eyes on me. I don't want to get entangled with another man."
Cindy was embarrassed. "Scarlett, my focus is on you, not my brother. I want you to be Stephen's wife. More precisely, I want you to be my family."
Scarlett gave a wry smile. "Your brother is very nice. He will find a good wife."
"I only hope that someone will be willing to marry him."
Cindy thought it was very difficult for Stephen to attract a woman.
After all, Cindy once thought that Stephen, Jake, and the others planned to be monks in a monastery when they were old. They were simply celibates. Cindy was even suspicious that they were gay.
Scarlett took a sip of juice. "Do you want to go to the restroom with me?"
"Yes. I need to check on my mascara."
Scarlett took a look at Cindy's eyes. Cindy's mascara was smudged, but Scarlett didn't tell her that. "Okay."
There was an open-air sky garden outside the side door. It was more than 100 square meters in size with two benches and a swing.
Scarlett felt cold in the hall. She was going
to stay in the sky garden for a while and leave after Raymond finished talking to the others. She had no interest in socializing.
Seeing that Scarlett didn't want to go to the hall, Cindy followed her out to the sky garden.
