When Scarlett walked out of the lounge, she met Larry. Many honored guests came here today. Larry made time to come here.
Seeing that Scarlett stood in the corridor, Larry guessed that Rowan was talking with Raymond in the lounge.
Larry disliked Raymond because Scarlett was unhappy in her last marriage with Raymond. As Scarlett's brother, Larry was reluctant to see Scarlett remarry Raymond.
If Scarlett weren't Larry’s sister, Larry would think that Raymond was a good choice.
But Larry was Scarlett's brother and loved her very much. What he wanted was to protect Scarlett carefully.
Seeing that Scarlett stood in front of the rails, Larry came up to her and asked, "Is Raymond inside?"
"Hi, Larry."
When Scarlett heard Larry's voice, she felt surprised and greeted him happily. Then she nodded and said, "You're right. He says that he would like to have a talk with grandfather alone."
Larry glanced at the closed door and said," Aren't you afraid that they will have an argument?"
Scarlett smiled, "Raymond won't argue with grandfather."
Larry looked at her for a while and said, " You trust him so much."
Scarlett felt the dissatisfaction in Larry's words and said, "Larry, could I ask you a question?"
Larry asked, "What is it?"
"If I didn't marry Raymond three years ago or we didn’t get a divorce, would you dislike him?"
Scarlett's question was sharp.
Larry knew that Scarlett was smart, but she was involved in the matter. Larry was surprised that she still had a clear mind about that.
Larry said, "I can't deny that he is an excellent man, but you should know that it doesn't mean that he is an excellent husband."
Scarlett nodded thoughtfully and asked another sharp question, "Larry, will you be an excellent husband?"
Larry wanted to persuade Scarlett to give up, but he was stuck for words now.
