Scarlett smiled and turned her head to look at Katherine. "Katherine, is there anything you want to ask?"
Katherine asked a question, and still Luciana answered it.
Two minutes later, Scarlett glanced at Luciana with a half-smile and then spoke to Mr. Webb. "Mr. Webb, we need time to consider the investment."
The implication was "Sorry, I don’t want to invest in your company."
When Mr. Webb heard Scarlett's words, his expression changed.
Scarlett didn’t want to waste time, so she arranged for Katherine to see Mr. Webb and Luciana out.
Katherine stood immediately. "Mr. Webb, Miss Malone, please.”
"Ms. Reed."
Mr. Webb seemed to want to say something, but Scarlett ignored him and stared at Luciana.
For a moment, he seemed to understand something and shot a cold glance at Luciana.
At first, he thought that Scarlett and Luciana knew each other, so it would be easy to get the investment. However, when he recalled Scarlett's words, he found that Luciana must have offended Scarlett.
Because Scarlett directly said that she and Luciana were familiar with each other and that how they met for the first time was interesting.
There was the implication in Scarlett's words.
He no longer pleaded with Scarlett to invest and smiled at Scarlett and Katherine. "Ms. Reed, Secretary Lawrence, I won't disturb you."
Scarlett just smiled, without uttering a word. She was sitting there, without even standing to say goodbye.
