Shaylee was surprised. She bit her lips. "I didn't say bad things about you online."
"Really?"
Scarlett laughed as she stood up from the chair. "I thought you were brave to admit what you had done."
Scarlett stopped for a while and looked at Katherine who had just come in. And Scarlett continued, "But you turn out to not be that kind of person."
She sounded calm.
But the meaning behind the words was known to everyone at the spot.
Shaylee dared not admit what she did.
Scarlett blamed her for that.
"You are not sincere. If you didn’t do this to me, why would you come here to apologize to me?"
Scarlett thought that one should get punished if he or she did bad things.
Shaylee's words sounded inconsistent. She didn't admit what she did at first, but then she apologized to Scarlett.
It was ridiculous. One should not apologize if he or she did nothing wrong.
Words had different meanings when one said them.
Shaylee felt speechless. She looked at her agent Fannie.
But Fannie had nothing to say too because she didn't expect that Scarlett would be hard to handle.
