It was Scarlett's first official meeting with Raymond's aunt Yoselin, who didn’t show up at their wedding last time because she had something else to do. Later, she didn't come to see Scarlett, probably because Raymond said something to her.
Their meeting eight months ago was a little embarrassing because Scarlett thought Yoselin was Raymond's new lover.
Scarlett could tell that Yoselin was much more important to Raymond than Jean.
Yoselin must have had a powerful impact on Raymond's life growing up.
The appointed time was 6:30 in the evening, but it was 5:40 after they had showered. In case of being late, Scarlett put on light makeup and changed into a simple dress before going out with Raymond.
It was the second day of the holiday, so the traffic in Juanton City was diabolical.
Usually, they could reach the restaurant within half an hour, but the awful traffic stuck them for a long time.
They finally got there at 6:37.
The waiter told them that Yoselin was waiting for them in a private room. Scarlett looked at Raymond and said awkwardly," We're late."
"Don't worry, Yoselin won't mind."
Hearing that, Scarlett nipped at his arm," It's all your fault!"
If he hadn't broken into the bathroom to take a bath together, they wouldn't have been late at all.
Raymond looked at her and said, "All right, it's mine."
As they spoke, they followed the waiter to the private room.
The waiter opened the door, "Mr. Shaw, Ms. Reed, Ms. Cline's in there."
"Thank you."
Scarlett took on her sweet smile and moved into an upright position.
The incident of their last meeting embarrassed Scarlett to meet Yoselin again.
Sensing her nervousness, Raymond held her hand more tightly, "Relax, Yoselin’ll be nice and easy for you."
Scarlett glanced at him, "I don't feel at all nervous."
Instead of unmasking her, Raymond took her hand and entered the private room, " Long time no see, auntie."
They had not seen each other for eight months, and Yoselin had changed little.
Scarlett believed that Yoselin must have strong self-control to maintain such a good figure in her fifties.
