Scarlett hadn't slept this deeply in a long time. She didn't know if it was because she saw "Raymond" again or because she just got drunk.
But she had tried to drink some wine before bed. Although she could fall asleep after drinking some wine, her sleep quality was extremely bad. And she always had all kinds of random dreams every night.
She remembered some of the dreams after waking up, but some of them she couldn't remember.
Most of the dreams she had were related to Raymond. Some were sweet and some made her feel painful Looking at "Raymond" in front of her, sitting on the couch in a bathrobe with a glass of wine, Scarlett was confused as to whether she was in reality or a dream.
"Awake?"
Chris didn't give her long to react. His tone sounded icy cold.
It reminded Scarlett of Raymond when they were first married. Raymond had looked at her the same way in the wedding room after the wedding ceremony that night.
Raymond's face was expressionless, and his eyes were cold.
"Tell me! Who sent you? Did they think I could let down my guard by sending a woman from Jakesville? You go back and tell the people behind you that the business world is all about power and
strength."
Scarlett didn't interrupt him. After Raymond finished his words, she said slowly, "My name is Scarlett, the name of the heroine in Gone With the Wind. What's your name?"
Hearing her words, Chris swirled his glass of wine a little. But soon, he reacted. He coldly curled the corners of his lips. "You have quite a quick reaction. You change your trick in such a short time."
Scarlett didn't say anything. Then she got off the bed and walked right up to the man. She raised her hand and took the wine glass from his hand and placed it on the table in front of him. Then Scarlett reached down, held his chin, and bit him hard on the lips. "Even if you forget about me, that's okay. You'll remember me sooner or later anyway." Scarlett was really biting his lip. The moment she let go of his lips, the man's lips were bruised and oozing blood.
Chris felt the pain. He felt like he should have raised his hand and pushed the woman in front of him away hard.
However, he did not do anything. Looking into her beautiful eyes, he felt as if he had lost all his strength.
Moreover, he felt tightness in his chest.
Although he wasn't in pain, he found tightness in the chest unbearable.
Scarlett didn't do anything more. Then she took the business card from her small handbag aside and slipped it inside his palm. "Remember my name is Scarlett."
