Flirting With My Ex-husband novel Chapter 9

On the day of Julie's art exhibition, Scarlett especially spent over an hour putting on delicate makeup. Her long and fluffy hair was made into a fishtail braid hanging down behind her, where only some loose hair was let down on the sides of her forehead. She matched an apricot silk loose shirt with a green midi pencil skirt. It gave her the elegance of a French lady, but it also made her look lazy yet sexy at the same time.

Mark could not help but whistle lightly when he saw Scarlett. "Elder Sister Searly, when do you plan to look for a boyfriend? Can you give me a number first? Let m e get in line first.”

Scarlet found it rather funny. "Stop joking."

"I'm very serious."

Mark took off his shades and looked down at her. He was indeed very serious.

Scarlett was stunned for a while. She did not have the thought of starting a new relationship at the moment, much less the idea of stirring up any trouble with a young hunk from her company?

Instead of responding to him, she directly got into the Maserati.

Mark did not mind as well. The embarrassment from before went away quickly. "Elder Sister Scarly, don't worry, Elder Sister Alexis has told me everything. Today, I'll surely help you get even with them!"

Scarlett sighed a breath of relief. She looked at him and chuckled. "I'll count on you then."

"No problem!"

With that, the blue Maserati zoomed away and pulled u p coolly below Julie's gallery, attracting many people's attention.

Scarlett unfastened her seatbelt. She got out of the car in her high heels and walked to Mark's side, then she held his arm and entered the venue.

The security guard at the entrance stopped them." Mister, Miss, please show your invitations."

Scarlett took out the invitations from her bag and handed them over to the guard. The security guard confirmed that they were correct before letting them g o.

Apart from Julie's paintings, the paintings of many famous artists were also borrowed for the exhibition today. Therefore, not everyone could come to the exhibition.

The Woofs family was not as good as the Shaw family, but they were also a well-known wealthy family in Juanton.

Julie’s gallery had a space of close to 500 square meters, thus a year's rent would be nearly three million dollars. Not to mention the interior decoration, Scarlett happened to recognize the lamp on the suspended ceiling at the entrance to be designed by a n Italian artist and cost more than a million dollars.

Many showcases in the venue had been shifted, leaving a large space for the guests to look around.

Scarlett had to admit that Julie's paintings were quite interesting although she did not understand them.

Since this was the exhibition of the Woods family's eldest daughter, a lot of media naturally came to root for her.

After going up to the second floor, Scarlett saw Julie from afar. Julie wore a French-style flower dress today, and her long hair was draped behind her. She looked gentle and lovely.

Raymond had not yet arrived. Julie had looked downstairs several times.

Scarlett went deeper into the second floor with Mark and realized that there was an open-air balcony there.

There were three sun umbrellas on the balcony, each one had chairs and stools under them. A painted wall could be seen on the side, and a free supply of drinks and desserts could be found in an extra corner inside the wall.

Now that everyone was outside, this spot was rather quiet.

Scarlett looked at Mark and asked, "Let's sit for a while?"

"Okay!”

Art was too much of a high-end and classy thing. Scarlett could not appreciate it.

The people inside were all talking about Van Gogh and Da Vinci, whereas Scarlett and Mark were chatting about recent gossip in the entertainment industry.

Scarlett was not as interested in such gossip as Alexis, but it would not hurt listening to them occasionally.

There was juice and cake on the table, and she could also feast her eyes on the handsome man in front of her. She felt that she could sit here all afternoon.

Nonetheless, it was just a thought. She had come today to stress and annoy Tiffany and the others.

Scarlett put her juice down and looked at Mark. "The main character should be here soon. Let's go in too."

She smiled and took her bag as she stood up.

Before they went in, Tiffany's surprised voice was heard. "Why are you here?!”

Tiffany had an unexplainable feeling of superiority when she saw Scarlett but when she saw Scarlett’s excessively attractive face, she was easily displeased.
