The restaurant was busy at meal time. When Scarlett and Raymond went in, a lot of seats were occupied.
Because it was a sudden decision, Raymond didn't ask Frank to book a table.
Yet this restaurant was big. They walked forward and found there were still many empty seats.
Scarlett had not eaten grilled fish for more than half a year. Since Raymond had an accident in Deeton City, she had been eating at Tent on or Mornet rather than restaurants. Her food was usually prepared by Frank or Katherine.
Alexis occasionally asked her out to some
famous stores.
Scarlett and Raymond came neither too early nor too late. The waiters served dishes quickly. Ten minutes after they ordered, the grilled fish was brought to their table.
Scarlett had just put down her juice glass when she heard a girl passing by say, "I'm so jealous of Kaitlin. The former president and the current president of her company remarried today. They gave every staff member 1314 dollars to share the joy."
Hearing this, Scarlett subconsciously looked at Raymond across the table. Apparently, Raymond also heard it and was looking up at her.
Scarlett slightly raised an eyebrow, smiled slightly, and didn’t say anything.
Those girls were seated behind Scarlett, chatting loudly. Scarlett heard clearly what they said.
"Teuton, right? I saw the news on Twitter! The two presidents are young and goodlooking. Two years ago, when they divorced, they also became trending topics on Twitter. I hadn't expected that they would remarry! And they are so generous. 1314 dollars! I envy their staff!”
"To be honest, I'm more envious of Scarlett. Raymond first announced the news on Twitter and gave the staff money. It seems like he is telling everyone that Scarlett is his!"
"Yes, you're right! I didn't realize that before."
The more they talked, the more excited they were. They even mentioned a lot of things that happened between Scarlett and Raymond long ago.
As the protagonist, Scarlett sat there listening, feeling embarrassed and amused.
She looked at Raymond. "Are you trying to tell everyone I'm yours?"
Raymond glanced at Scarlett, pushed a dish in front of her, and answered calmly," Yes."
He wanted everyone to know that Scarlett was Mrs. Shaw. He hoped that those who had been coveting Scarlett would stay away from her.
