"How do the away meets normally work?" I asked him out of curiosity. He thought for a moment as he unstrapped his gloves.
"For this one, we'll ride in a bus to the city. We normally stay in hotels and room up together. The bus takes us to the venue once for practice then for the actual meet. Afterwards, there's normally some kind of team dinner, then we come back," he answered.
"Has anyone from the school ever tagged along?" I asked as I undid my own gloves. Sawyer hummed thoughtfully.
"It's possible. Some students have come along to support other sports. It really depends on when the meets are held. Obviously, no one is allowed to miss school for it unless it's an important meet. Other than that, if there's room on the bus and they don't have their own practice, other people can come. Why? Is Leo coming?" Sawyer replied knowingly. I felt my cheeks grow hot as I put my gear on the rack.
"He is my personal manager," I lied. Sawyer chuckled as he set his own gear on the rack.
