Chapter 6
I turned to Eleanor, desperate. “Please I need a proper urn for Noah.”
She curled her lip. “Can’t even hold a damn urn right. The bottle’s fine. I’m not wasting another cent on that ungrateful brat. Hurry up my club’s waiting.”
Leon shoved me aside, his friends scooping Noah’s ashes into the filthy bottle and tossing it into the grave like trash.
The workers scaled it immediately.
My nails dug into my palms until they bled. How could they treat my baby like trash?
I went looking for Hudson and only to find them right in front of Noah’s memorial portrait.
Valeria was straddling him on a chair, her dress hiked up, Hudson’s hands all over her.
“Baby… Leon needs a sibling. Let me give you another child.”
Hudson’s breath was ragged.
“Val… you’ve risked so much already – hiding Leon all these years from your husband. I can’t ask more. And this is Noah’s-”
Valeria’s hand slid lower, her voice pure seduction. “For you? I’d sacrifice anything. He’s never home anyway, he won’t know.”
“Shhhh…” Valeria’s hands worked at his dick. “Besides… doesn’t the danger excite you? Right here? You’re so tense… let mama take care of you…”
Hudson’s control snapped. He yanked her down into a brutal kiss, hands shoving up her dress while she moaned.
My hands shook as I recorded their betrayal before fleeing to Noah’s grave.
My whole body trembled. Hudson, our son’s photo was right above you while you’re… God, I couldn’t stop retching.
The crowd had dispersed. No one cared about me or my baby anymore.
I knelt by Noah’s grave, placing white roses and a small teddy bear among the memorial flowers.
Tears fell silently as I realized our fifteen–year marriage had been nothing but a cruel joke.

Chapter 6
Suddenly something knocked the vase over, hot water splashing my hands. I jerked back with a gasp.
Valeria appeared, looking triumphant.

“Must have been quite a show, Reese – watching Hudson and me going at it right in front of your dead kid’s photo. Sweet little Noah… all those flowers and teddy bears won’t bring him back.”
