Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love novel Chapter 266

This time, Charles and Jay were not in their regular hangout, Breeze, but in a common bar named Dream.

The bar was noisy with a lot of different people.

They were in a private room and had ordered more than ten glasses of cocktail.

Jay could not hide the look of frustration on his face.

He drank slowly instead to drown his sorrow and didn't want to talk.

Charles lit a cigarette and leaned against the sofa lazily. "It's already so late. Why don't you go home?"

After taking another sip of wine from the glass, Jay stubbornly said, "I’m frustrated. I don't want to go home."

Charles took a drag on his cigarette and said sarcastically, "Before, you couldn't wait to get married to Doris, couldn't you? Now that your dream has been granted, you should be happy. So why are you impatiently behaving like this? Is the rumor true, then? It's been said that you are a man who cannot be loyal and will always want something new."

With a sigh, Jay explained, "The Doris I knew used to be careless and heartless. She is not that a clingy person. But now, she keeps clinging to me and wants me to treat her like a princess every day."

"Have you forgotten that she is pregnant now? Maybe it's just her hormones acting up and she'll be fine after she gives birth to the baby. Give her more time and wait patiently until she gives birth," Charles persuaded him.

"I feel like I'm going to suffocate from her attitude. I don't have any free space anymore. Alas, marriage is like a tight rope, binding my hands and feet. I can't even move a little and have no breathing space. Isn't it boring?" Jay lamented sadly.

"You can't say that. All men and women want to find a good mate for themselves to spend the rest of their life with. Doris is now suffering from pregnancy paranoia. Do you also suffer from it?" After saying that, Charles laughed scornfully.

"Screw you! You are really so good at talking nonsense! I'm a man and I can't have a baby on my tummy. How could I have pregnancy paranoia? I just feel a little annoyed by everything that's happening. Recently, I miss the good old days when I was not married. I can go wherever I want to go, do whatever I want to do, date any woman I want to date. I can live freely and have an unrestrained life," Jay complained as he raised his head and drank the wine in his goblet in one gulp.

"Come on, you're not a child anymore. You're a married man. You should be responsible for your marriage and be devoted to Doris. You can't go back to the old days as a free and casual single man. It's impossible. Be realistic about it. You're the father of the child Doris is carrying. You can't be so irresponsible." Charles took a sip of the cocktail as he wickedly grinned.

"I know. I'm just saying it to vent my dissatisfaction. I still have to go back and coax my wife at home." As Jay spoke, he took a cigarette, lit it and smoked impatiently.

Charles patted him on the shoulder and said, "Don't tire yourself by overthinking your situation. Look at me, I want to marry Nancy all these time, but she has refused my proposal time and again on the excuse of being busy all day long. It makes me so upset. I don't know what is really on her mind. You, on the other hand, should cherish your marriage. Being together is destined by God. Don't get impatient just because of a little friction between you and your wife." "What you said seems to make sense. But since we're already hanging out, let's take this opportunity to relax ourselves and not think about anything else."

Jay resignedly said as he snapped his fingers.

Soon after, a waiter came in.

"Find me two barmaids, please. They have to be beautiful girls," Jay ordered.

"Okay, we have nothing to offer but good wine and beautiful women here! As you wish, they will be here right away!" the waiter said in a merry tone.

After the waiter had left, Charles looked at Jay and reminded him with a smile on his lips, "Jay, our phones are turned off. What if they call and can't find us?"

Just now, Charles wanted to call Nancy, but his phone was snatched away by Jay. Not content with having confiscated his phone, Jay even turned it off immediately.

"Hey, what are you trying to do?" Charles was puzzled by his actions.

"Let me tell you something, Charles. We have spoiled those two women so much that they don't know their place anymore. They have forgotten that it's the men who are in charge of the world..."
