"Which restaurant?" Charles said coldly.
"They are in a special barbecue joint in the snack street. " Hiram thought about it and said, "They were there for a while. I don't know if they're still there."
To Hiram, it felt like he was betraying his friend.
Nancy had always treated him so well and they'd become closer.
"Watch them. I'll be there soon," Charles said rushing out.
"Hey, Mr. Fu. I..." Charles seemed to have already cut the call. Hiram had no choice but to run out of the bathroom while saying to the kids, "Stay here. I'm going out for a little bit."
"Where are you going?” Bobby asked, confused.
"Going to catch the bad guys. Be good. Bobby, protect your sister, okay?" Hiram reminded.
"Okay, Uncle Hiram," said Bobby nodding seriously.
Hiram grabbed his clothes and ran out the door.
Watching Charles run out, Angelina said eagerly, "Aren't you going to have dinner?"
Charles didn't answer. He just rushed straight to his car parked in the yard.
Angelina murmured to herself angrily, "Why does he care so much about that woman, Nancy? He really is wrapped around her finger!"
Nancy wasn't in the mood to eat. Most of the food there was for Edward anyway though.
She didn't mind. He'd been back for the first time in such a long while and he just wanted to taste all the local cuisine.
There was an array of things on the menu. Between the two of them, they almost ate everything.
The two finally arrived at the barbecue joint.
"Edward, have a try. You won't get this food anywhere else." Nancy picked up a roast drumstick and put it on Edward's plate.
"Nancy, you've changed quite a lot since you came back. You have become elegant and a little distant from me. Don't you think so?" Edward picked it up with his hand and took a bite with a smile. "It smells good. Actually, very good!"
When they were abroad, Nancy did this exact same thing. Only she picked up the drumstick and put it into his mouth.
"There are so many people here. I am too embarrassed. ” Nancy blushed.
Edward smiled and looked at her. "You also seem to be shier than before."
"Edward, stop annoying me." Nancy seemed a little angry.
The smile on Edward's face became wider. "At least you haven't changed there. Still as hot headed as ever."
"You are much worse than before," Nancy said mockingly and rolled her eyes.
Edward chuckled and accidentally dropped the drumstick on his T-shirt.
It left a massive oil stain on his cream shirt.
"Edward, what should I do?" Nancy panicked, because she knew Edward was a neat freak. He used to change his clothes for the smallest things so this must seem like a disaster.
They didn't have a spare set of clothes though. There wasn't anything he could do.
Nancy looked down glumly at the stain.
"It's not that bad. It's just a little oil stains. It's okay." Edward raised his hand and rubbed Nancy's shoulder.
"Are you sure you're okay?" asked Nancy through her frown.
"Of course. Why don't you believe me? It really doesn't matter." Edward looked at Nancy's nervous face and smiled.
"After we finish this, let's buy a new shirt," Nancy suggested. Nancy knew that Edward was just putting on a brave face. He definitely hated sitting in this mess.
"Okay!" Edward agreed calmly.
