"Nancy, what are you afraid of? I'm all yours," Charles said in a gentle voice.
"I'm not afraid, you're so handsome. I'm just in a hurry. Look at the time! Get up quickly, or we'll all be late!" Nancy raised her hand to touch his face and tried to give him a flattering smile.
Every time she looked at Charles' handsome face, Nancy always felt reluctant to leave.
For the time being, however, she had to get going.
Or maybe it was because she was afraid of his brutality.
"Are you sure you're not afraid?" he asked her again.
She took a deep breath and shook her head, reassuring him.
Charles took Nancy’s hand and dragged it down his body...
When her fingers touched his skin, Nancy froze and took a deep breath to calm herself.
Charles let go of her hand and smiled helplessly at her. "Forget it. I'll let you go. When I have the time, I’ll buy you a book and let you study hard."
'What? Study hard?
Study...having sex?
Charles is so annoying!' she thought.
It didn't matter. Nancy was relieved that she was able to escape him this morning.
Charles entered the bathroom to get ready.
Nancy exhaled softly and sneaked out of the bedroom.
Charles took his time in the bathroom that morning and finally came out when Nancy finished cooking. Walking out of the bathroom, he had a teasing smile plastered on his face.
"Hurry up and eat. This afternoon, you have to go and pick up the children," Nancy instructed as she set the table.
"Hiram will be picking them up instead. Grandpa said he wanted to see them today. I'll ask Hiram to drop them off at the old mansion," he continued, drying his hair with a towel.
"That's fine," Nancy replied. Charles knew she wouldn't pass up the opportunity to have an afternoon to herself.
"Since the children won't be home till later, we have some free time to ourselves..." Charles purred, sticking his tongue out at her.
Nancy choked on a mouthful of milk.
Men were always like that, weren't they?
Patting her gently on the back, he said, "Don't worry. Drink slowly. You’ll scare the children." "Children, come out and have breakfast!" he called in the direction of the children's bedroom.
"Good morning, Daddy!" the children greeted in unison.
Their voices were adorable.
It would melt anyone's heart.
Rushing to finish her breakfast, Nancy glanced at the time and said in a hurry, "Kids, I'll ask Daddy to drive you to the kindergarten later. Mommy has to go to work now. Uncle Hiram will pick you up this afternoon. Be good, okay?"
"Okay, Mommy..." The two children answered tiredly, rubbing their eyes as they walked out of their room.
Nancy stood up to leave.
"Drive carefully," Charles reminded her.
"Don’t worry, I’m a good driver," she reassured him.
He heard the car start, and turned to see Nancy drive away.
Charles' eyelids twitched, and he suddenly had a bad feeling. He frowned, feeling uneasy.
As per usual, Nancy drove herself to the hospital.
It was especially cold today, so she put on a shawl.
Turning the radio on, Nancy hummed to herself.
All of a sudden, a black car sped towards her. Swerving away from the car, Nancy turned the wheel in a hurry and crashed against a tree.
Her initial reaction was to check the damage on the car. It was worth ten million! She had no idea how she would pay for the repairs.
