"Get out, Jay! You are far worse than Felix. He won't hurt me. He will protect me!" Although her voice was weak, her eyes were burning with anger.
Felix? Oh, that man again!
With a playful squint, Jay asked, "Tell me, what have you and Felix done?
To irritate him, Doris lied, "We have done everything you can imagine!"
Her reply had ignited the fire in his chest. The way he gritted his teeth showed how annoyed he was. "Have you done all that?"
"Yes, we have!" she continued.
"Doris, do you know what you're putting yourself into? Provoking me is self-destruction!" And then he aggressively tore the quilt off of her.
A gust of coldness swept over Doris. She grabbed the quilt and covered herself. "Jay, I hate you so much!"
But Jay only sneered. "Hate me?" His disdainful eyes fixated on her. "Because of Felix? That guy is poor. He has nothing. I really want to know what's good about him."
A contemptuous smile appeared on his face.
"Everything! He's so much better than you. You are a good-for-nothing bastard!" Like a hysterical woman, she grabbed and threw anything she could reach on Jay.
"Doris, are you crazy?" Frowning, he blocked them with his hand.
"Yes, I am! You are driving me crazy. What did I do to you, Jay? Why won't you stop pestering me? There are plenty of women in the world who want you. As a matter of fact, there's a beautiful woman on your phone that you can have with just one call. Go and get her. Leave me alone!
"Yes, there are a lot of beautiful women on my phone, and they are very obedient. But you're more interesting than them. The main reason is that they don't give me a baby. Do you know, Doris?" Jay had thought what Doris mentioned was his friend on WeChat, so he provoked her on purpose.
It was nothing more than revenge. He was never the type of man to get hurt.
Not even with words!
"I'll kill you, Jay!" shouted Doris.
To stop her, Jay raised his hand. "If you still don't behave yourself, I will do what I have just done until you behave yourself okay?"
Since she had already misunderstood him, he didn't care anymore.
Nor did he bother to explain.
"Jay, believe me or not... I will sue you."
"Well, I didn't expect that you are capable of doing so, Doris. If you think you can, then sue me. Let's see if anyone would believe you." Jay threw the agreement on the bed he signed with her in the hotel.
With just one glance, Doris became flustered. What should she do now?
No, she couldn't admit it.
Jay set a trap for her on purpose.
But she had jumped in. If she admitted it, would she be buried alive by Jay?
She was good at denying when she was a child, so she said,
"Jay, you must be faking it, aren't you?" Although she felt helpless, she tried to look serious. "I can't do such a stupid thing!"
"Have a good look, Doris. Your signature is on it!" reminded Jay.
Her handwriting was not as unique as that of Jay, but it still could not be easily forged by someone.
Alas, even if the evidence was in front of her, Doris had to continue to deny it!
"Jay, I was in a daze at that time, and this agreement couldn't be valid. Don’t you agree?"
