Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love novel Chapter 69

With Jay's help on Flora's whereabouts, Charles was able to keep track of her through his phone.

The wind was billowing, and it was raining cats and dogs, but Flora was still driving to somewhere.

"Where the hell is she going?" Nancy asked as she intently stared at the phone.

"Flora had it rough all these years. I'm afraid that she..."

Charles began speaking but later hesitated to continue when he noticed the change of expression on Nancy's face.

Although the latter was not a licensed psychiatrist and was only versed in general medical terms, she was still familiar with what was going on in Flora's head.

If a person spent a lot of his time in an abusive environment, around with toxic people, he or she would likely be depressed too.

"Is she is driving for no particular reason right now?" Nancy wondered in a trembling voice. The very fact that Flora was not in her right mind right now frightened her even more.

"Yes. She left the Yan family but didn't return to the Feng family. She probably just wanted to escape. As for where and what she is going to do, she's probably not aware of herself," Charles analyzed critically as his eyes remained glued on the road.

"What?! Is she...going to commit suicide?" Even Nancy was horrified with her own words. It was a possibility, and they couldn't just rule it out.

On the other hand, Charles kept silent. He was not bothered by that woman at all but only wanted to track her down to save Nadia.

In fact, he already had a hunch that Flora was likely to commit suicide, but he knew he couldn't tell Nancy.

And now that cats out of the bag, Nancy felt a lump on her throat, almost choking her at the mere thought of someone ending her own life.

She was scared, yes, and her glimmering hope was fading exponentially.

As they got closer and closer to where Flora was, the road became muddier and muddier. Later, Charles found himself unable to move the car as a mountain appeared before them.

"The car can't move forward anymore!" As the wiper provided a view of the outside, he saw trees scattered, blocking the road.

There was no one outside who could help them pave the way for the car.

"What should we do?" Nancy cried in despair, her hope was now hanging on a thread.

"We can only continue to look for her once the rain stops," said Charles with a heavy sigh.

Because Nancy understood the situation and she didn't want to jeopardize both of them, all she could do was nod in agreement.

She knew that Charles had tried his best, and it was now getting late. If they continued to move forward, they might be in danger amidst this storm.

"Jay, tell me where Flora is now!" Charles demanded after making a phone call to Jay.

"She is..." Jay began to answer, but before he could even finish his words, the line ended.

And when Charles tried calling again, no one answered.

"Damn it!" he cursed in a low voice, almost throwing his phone on the dashboard.

The typhoon was making it difficult to connect, and the signal was obviously lost.

Both he and Jay were clearly aware of what Flora intended to do. And now that they couldn't get hold of her, the two were becoming even more conscious.

"Hello, Charles, hello..." Jay called him twice, but just like what Charles experienced, the line broke too.

"Damn it!" he also cursed, rubbing his temple in frustration.

As he gazed at the darkness through his window, Jay felt even more desperate.

More than this, he had always been particularly afraid of being left alone.

So he often went out to play with women just to get rid of his loneliness.

Such weather definitely had an immense impact on him and his manhood. It was the perfect time to go drinking, singing, and chatting with a woman.

And true enough, Jay clicked on the WeChat application to find himself a muse for the night. But when he saw the portraits of the flirtatious women, he suddenly lost interest.
