Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love novel Chapter 76

"Fuck off!" Ethan growled in a feral manner as the pain further fueled his anger.

"Ethan, don't touch my daughter!" Nancy held Nadia in her arms.

"Your daughter?" 'D-daughter!'

For a second, Ethan completely froze as his brain was unable to process the information it just acquired.

"She is your daughter?" Ethan laughed out, believing it to be a lie. "Nancy, are you saying that Nadia here, is your actual daughter?" asked Ethan-clearly in disbelief.

"Yes, Nadia is my daughter. I brought her in this world," said Nancy without a single quiver in her voice. Ethan was not the only one astounded by Nancy's big reveal. The one most shocked was none other than Nancy's best friend-Doris.

She felt like her whole world was spinning as nothing made sense to her. She was Nancy's closest friend, and yet she had no idea that

"Wow. Nancy, are you serious? Is she really your daughter? When did you give birth? Why did you keep it a secret from me?" Initially, she felt like a lightning bolt struck her with all of its might. But she quickly accustomed herself and showered Nancy with questions.

Nancy felt overwhelmed when she suddenly became the target of Doris' barrage of questions. Instead of answering, she just kept quiet, hoping that Doris would quickly tire herself out.

"Ah!" Nancy couldn't help but moan in pain as she suddenly felt someone's tight grip on her shoulder.

Turning around, she came eye to eye with Ethan. He was staring at her so intensely that if looks could kill, she'd be dead right now.

"Who is her father?" asked Ethan while gazing sharply into Nancy's eyes as if trying to see through her.

Nancy wasn't one to be easily intimidated. She kept calm and didn't speak a word. "Well, Ethan, I think Nancy needs a break and some time to calm down. It will not help if you keep forcing her. Why don't you go and get some rest too?" suggested Doris as she bravely took the position of a middleman.

Ethan looked at both of them and smiled coldly. Just when they thought he had no plans for peace, he quietly dropped his mask. "Hey, Nancy, are you really her mother?" asked Doris quietly, failing to keep her curiosity in check.

"Yup. Nadia is my daughter,” said Nancy as she lovingly caressed Nadia's head. "Well, since she is your daughter, then doesn't that automatically make me her godmother? What a world! What a bizarre coincidence. Nadia not only were you lucky enough to get a mother, but you also got a super awesome godmother for absolutely free. You no longer have to worry about being alone," said Doris with a smug smile on her face.

Nadia raised her little head and stared at Doris with her cute eyes. Softly, she asked, "Auntie, Can I call Uncle Charles... Dad?"

"No way!" exclaimed Nancy, without even giving Doris a chance to speak. Doris looked at the panicking Nancy and shrugged her shoulders. Giving out an amused chuckle, she replied in a helpless tone, "Girl, I think both of us should just listen to your mother."

"Mommy, who is my Daddy?" asked Nadia as she blinked her big innocent eyes with expectation.

This question was like an old injury for Nancy. When she was asked this question, the wound will start throbbing with pain. She also wanted to know who

Nadia's father was, but she had no way of finding out.

Moreover, what could possibly change from knowing that?

"Your Dad went out to find the best gift in the world for you. When you grow up, he will come back with it!" said Nancy. She couldn't tell the truth to a little kid, so she just made a reasonable sounding excuse.

"Okay, then I must grow up as soon as possible. I miss Daddy so much!" said Nadia with a newfound enthusiasm.

Seeing the playful antics of Nadia, she couldn't help but kiss her little face. "Dr. Nancy, Mr. Fu has woken up," whispered a nurse who just came over.

"Okay, I'll be there soon," replied Nancy. Looking at Doris, she said, "Doris, I'm leaving Nadia under your care. Give her a warm bath and buy her some new clothes." Then she took out her credit card.

"Nancy, are you looking down on me? She's my goddaughter. Do you really think I can't buy her some clothes?" said Doris in mock anger. Quickly grabbing Nadia's hand, with a comical glint in her eyes, she declared, "Nadia, let's go shopping."

"See you later, Mommy," Nadia said as she waved her cute hands at Nancy. "See you later, honey," replied Nancy as she felt a warm and fuzzy feeling inside her.

'Mommy...' Nancy felt an inexplicable sense of satisfaction as she saw Nadia. It was like Nadia was the only thing she needed in the whole world.

Only after Doris and Nadia entered the elevator could she bear to pull her eyes away from Nadia. Seeing their disappearing silhouette, she turned around and went to Charles' ward.

Charles was lying on a hospital bed, wearing an oxygen mask and covered in medical gauze. As soon as he saw Nancy entering the room, he tried to give her a smile.

However, the 10 muscles required for smiling were quite against his decision. As they unanimously decided that he needed more pain coursing through his body.

"Does it hurt?" asked Nancy as she gently held Charles' hand. 'It hurts.

It hurts like hell.' Yet, not a single complaint escaped Charles' mouth. With the same composure, he gently shook his head.

"The anesthetic will wear off soon. You will begin to feel it then. Do you want a pain relief pump?"

Charles pointed towards the oxygen mask. Understanding Charles' intention, Nancy nodded and removed the mask.

Fortunately, there was only a minor concussion in Charles' brain. So, as long as he could remain awake, an oxygen mask wasn't necessary.

It would have been a different story altogether if it turned out to be a major concussion. Charles would have to wear an oxygen mask for a long time. "No, thanks."
