Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love novel Chapter 78

Nancy gently rubbed Bobby's head and said, "Yes. Bobby is a good boy too."

"Listen, you two better be on your best behavior while I'm gone. That means no fighting," Nancy tried to warn them as sternly as she could. After all, she had no idea about what to say in situations like these. So, that was her idea of strict parenting.

"Okay, Mommy. Don't you worry, I will take good care of Daddy," said Bobby as he particularly emphasized the word, Daddy. As expected of the little genius, his target hit the mark. The remark was triumphant in making Nadia sad.

"I'm leaving. Don't cause any ruckus here," said Nancy as she went out and closed the gate softly on her exit.

"Daddy, does it still hurt?" asked Bobby as he proudly made his way towards Charles. Bobby felt slightly complacent, knowing that not only did he have a Mommy, but he also had a Daddy.

While Nadia only had a Mommy. To Bobby, it was a simple game of numbers.

"No," said Charles as he was quite aware of what was going in his son's mind. Not allowing a single grimace of pain on his face, Charles waved at Nadia and said, "Nadia, why don't you come here and join me?"

Nadia, like a scared little rabbit, stared at Charles for a second, before timidly walking towards him.

Nadia softly asked, "U-uncle, is it still aching?" "No, it doesn't hurt anymore. Nadia, you can call me Daddy," said Charles with a gentle smile.

It was the kind of smile that gave a sense of security and trust.

Hearing Charles, Nadia couldn't help but glance at Bobby. She wanted to call Charles Daddy too, but she was afraid that Bobby wouldn't like it.

"B-but she isn't your child," said Bobby, denying it right away. The moment Bobby heard what his father said to Nadia, his world suddenly went dark.

He was about to lose the lead he had on Nadia!

'Is she here to steal my Daddy?' 'And Mommy clearly forgot to call me a good boy, but she didn't forget about her. Ah, she is trying to STEAL my Mommy too.'

Thoughts like these plagued his innocent mind. "Bobby, think for a second, are you really Nancy's son?” asked Charles. Bobby was dumbfounded once again. Nadia was indeed Nancy's daughter. Moreover, whether he accepted that or not didn't really matter. Nadia would remain Nancy's daughter. "Well, Nadia Yan, I guess from now on, I will share a little bit of my Daddy with you, just a little bit. I hope you can understand what 'just a little bit' means," said Bobby as he finally relented.

"Yes! Thank you, Bobby," said Nadia, filled with joy, but suddenly her eyes dimmed, and she glumly said, "Don't call me Nadia Yan. Yan isn't my family name. I don't know my true surname."

In the Yan family, Hiram never took Nadia seriously.

Since the time she could remember, her name was Nadia.

All the teachers in kindergarten never called her by her full name. She believed that she was a lonely child with no family name.

"My family name is Fu. How about you take my surname?" Bobby offered.

What Bobby said made Charles burst into laughter. He finally understood what was called the innocence of childhood.

"I have to ask my Mommy,'¹ replied Nadia with equal seriousness. "Uhm... My Mommy."

stressed Bobby ever so slightly. "Hey, don't fight, both of you can call her Mommy," said Charles, coughing.

Suddenly, the wounds between his ribs began hurting. Charles involuntarily covered them with his hands, hoping to suppress the pain. "Does it hurt, Uncle?" asked Nadia with worry laced in her voice.

"A little," replied Charles. That was obviously an understatement as the pain was intense enough to soak his forehead with cold sweat.

Trying to ignore the pain, Charles said, "Nadia, didn't we agree on calling me. Daddy." "D-daddy," said Nadia cautiously.

Nadia had said that word many times in her heart. But when the time came, she couldn't help but feel nervous.

Today, for the first time in her life, she finally called out Daddy. She quite liked the feeling that word brought.

"Good girl," said Charles as a smile spontaneously formed on his handsome face.

"If you blow on me, I won't hurt." Nadia obediently took his hand and blew on it, and said, "Daddy, does it still hurt?"

"Don't worry, Nadia. It's okay." He didn't want to disappoint Nadia.

"I'll blow on daddy's hand, too." Afraid of being ignored, Bobby followed Nadia's example, and picked up one of Charles's hands and blew on it.

When Nancy came back, she saw Nadia and Bobby carefully sitting around the bed as they gently blew on Charles's hands.

She hurried in and put down the food she bought. "If it hurts, you can take a painkiller." "No, I'm fine. I just want to spend more time with the kids," said Charles.

"Okay, wash your hands, and let's have dinner." Nancy clapped her hands to get their attention.

"Okay." Nadia nodded and ran to the bathroom.
