Chapter 170 Be My Personal Bodyguard

Matthew was surprised to run into Willow at the hotel.

When he was working as the head of the security team at Willow’s previous company, his mother had been hospitalized. Her medical bills were more than he could afford, and when he first started asking for donations, Willow helped him.

She had given him a sum of money to use for his mother’s treatment without asking for anything in compensation.

Later on, Matthew had to leave the company so that he could take care of his family.

Still, he never forgot the kindness Willow had shown him. Now that she was in danger today, he immediately came forward to help her.

“How dare a security guard like you interfere? Do you want to lose your job? Nicholas roared

in anger when he saw that a security guard employed by his own family’s hotel had come to stop him.

Nicholas‘ subordinates were unbothered by Matthew’s presence. They did not think he could stop them.

“What are you doing? Let go of Willow at once! We’re living in a lawful society! If you don’t release her, I’ll call the authorities!” Matthew yelled.

“You really don’t know what’s good for you, huh? Teach that security guard a lesson!” Nicholas roared impatiently. His desire to take Willow and Miranda for himself was so overwhelming that he did not want to waste any more time on Matthew.

Nicholas‘ subordinates swiftly rushed forward.

“Matthew, leave quickly! Find a way to call the authorities! Let the inspectors come and rescue us!” Willow cried out frantically when she saw Matthew charging over alone.

Nicholas‘ men numbered more than 20. Matthew could not go up against them. It was better to report the case to the authorities instead.

Willow thought he was their only hope of avoiding this terrible fate.

“Don’t worry, Willow! These

thugs can’t defeat me!” Matthew declared confidently.

Willow had done him a huge favor. He could not possibly stand back and let something. horrible happen to her.

Alas, he had no time to waste. His phone was still in the security room. If he tried to call the Inspector General’s office now, by the time they arrived, it would be too late.

Plus, Matthew did not think much of Nicholas‘ subordinates. He was sure he could deal with.

This left her feeling rather exasperated. She thought Matthew was being too reckless.

them.

In the blink of an eye, Nicholas‘ men had reached Matthew.

The first to arrive immediately threw a punch at Matthew’s face.

Matthew did not back down. He swung his fist right back at his assailant.

There was a loud crack, followed by a howl.

Matthew had shattered the arm of the bodyguard who attacked him, and the man was sent flying backward.

Willow and Miranda were stunned.

To their amazement, Matthew was indeed an adept fighter. That explained why he was confident enough to challenge Nicholas‘ men despite being outnumbered.

Willow suddenly recalled that Matthew once mentioned he was trained in martial arts.

Nicholas was astonished when he saw Matthew defeating one of his men with a single punch.

When did such a formidable person join the hotel’s security team?

The rest of Nicholas‘ subordinates were stupefied as well.

If Nicholas had known that such an expert fighter was working for the hotel, he would have hized the man as his personal bodyguard!

On the other hand, Willow and Miranda were thrilled to see that Matthew was gaining the upper hand in the fight.

Nicholas thought he had eliminated all the possible things that could go wrong this time. He did not expect a security guard to throw a wrench into his plan.

Once the women saw that Matthew had defeated all the men, they were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.

“W–What are you doing?” Nicholas asked fearfully.

“You bastard! Why are you trying to harm Willow?” Matthew questioned ferociously.

“It’s just a misunderstanding! I only wanted to escort them up to the suite,” Nicholas said shakily.

“Do you take me for a fool? I saw everything you did just now! You wanted to assault Willow!” Matthew said with a stormy expression.

Knowing that Matthew would not be fooled by his lies, Nicholas changed tactics. He said, ” Hey, man. Let’s just talk, yeah? This hotel belongs to my family. I’m the oldest son of the Archer family.

“You look like a good fighter. It’s such a waste for you to be a security guard. Why don’t you be my personal bodyguard? I promise that you’ll have a life of luxury! It’ll be ten thousand times better than being a security guard!”
