The Almighty Lord Caspian novel Chapter 460

Ginger had an aggrieved expression on her red and swollen face. Nevertheless, she dared not protest in any way. She had no choice but to put up with Jyn's slaps.

Throughout the last two weeks, Jyn had slapped her almost every day.

"You idiot! You're so stupid! I told you to destroy Rebecca's reputation, but what happened instead?

"Rebecca's even more famous now, and Southlake Corporation's about to sell out! If this continues, they'll soon conquer the business market here!" Jyn screeched in fury.

She was counting on Ginger to do a good job, but Ginger only made things worse each time.

"I specifically sought the help of Ethan Hoover, the son of the Hoovers, Ms. Morrison. He promised he'd ruin Rebecca's reputation. Who would've thought that things would turn out this way instead?

"Ethan's family is keeping him under watch. I don't know what else I can do," Ginger said as tears rolled down her cheeks.

Her emotional response calmed Jyn down somewhat.

Lately, Jyn had been overwhelmed with work, making her a lot more bad-tempered.

She didn't expect Southlake Corporation to establish itself in the market so quickly.

"Looks like I'll have to take matters into my own hands," Jyn muttered.

Then, with a grim expression, she stared at Ginger and said, "I'm giving you one last chance. Get all the departments together and find a way to kick Southlake Corporation out!"

"Yes, Ms. Morrison!" Ginger replied with a nod before hastily leaving the office.

She had to perform well this time. Otherwise, she was in for another beating.

As Ginger left, Jyn murmured, "Caspian, I'm sure you're secretly helping Southlake Corporation. Otherwise, I would've been able to destroy the company by now. Well, I'm looking forward to seeing what else you can do next."

Jyn was determined to prove to everyone that she was the queen of the business world—no one could threaten her throne.

As Southlake Corporation's products were selling well, many partnering distributors anticipated receiving large crowds at their respective stores.

However, they were still stunned by the long queues of consumers waiting for the stores to open up.

Over at one of the outlets, people were exclaiming at the sight.

"Goodness me! I can't believe how popular Southlake Corporation is with the consumers!"

"I heard that there are long queues outside every single one of their distributors' stores! Some customers even started lining up last night so that they wouldn't miss out on the latest products!"

Naturally, Southlake Corporation's latest products were highly sought after thanks to the promotional campaign featuring Rebecca.

Furthermore, the affordable pricing was also one of the reasons why many consumers fought to get their hands on the products.

Just then, a few burly men shoved their way into the store.

"Get out of the way! Scram!"

Everyone was annoyed to see a bunch of people trying to jump the line, and someone called out, "What are you doing? Can't you see there's a line?"

The bald man in the lead swept his eyes across the crowd, and his piercing gaze made everyone clam up. No one else spoke up again.

Once he and his men got to the counter, they began to yell, "Where are Southlake Corporation's latest products? Give me one of every item! Don't forget to give me the receipt!"

After buying what they came for, they left the store.

Thanks to the nonstop advertisements, the products flew off the shelves, and many stores ran out of stock.

Although Willow would've loved to replenish the stock, it couldn't be done in time.

The team back at Southlake City had done their best to speed up the manufacturing process, but it wasn't enough to meet the high demand.

Ginger had a cunning smirk on her face after seeing the way consumers clamored to buy up Southlake Corporation's products.

"Go on. Enjoy it while you can, Caspian, Willow. Morrison Group isn't as weak as you think! Sooner or later, we'll kick you out of here!"

Once she finished speaking, she looked at the bald man beside her and asked, "How did it go?"

She was talking to the bald man who'd bought the products earlier and specifically asked for a receipt.

Due to how well-received Southlake Corporation was right now, the store brought in its previous products aside from its latest ones. Still, it didn't seem likely that the older range of products would turn out to be harmful.

"Bring him in. Don't let them say we're just picking on them for no good reason," Damon instructed with a wave of his hand.

A few men brought a lifeless body in on a stretcher.

"See him? He's my friend. He died the very next day after eating your supplements!" Damon shouted as he pointed at the corpse.

"Are you sure? We've never had any problems with our products before," the store manager protested timidly.

"I'm sure, alright!"

Without wasting any more of his breath, Damon took out the receipt.

"Take a look, everyone. This is the receipt that proves we bought the supplements. Well, here's the evidence. Are you still refusing to admit it?" Damon hollered.

The store manager was flustered. Damon was obviously some kind of thug, and the store manager didn't know what to do.

He couldn't possibly challenge Damon head-on. That would only result in him getting beaten up.

Meanwhile, the remaining customers in the store who had just bought the products were terrified, and those who hadn't paid were too afraid to go through with the purchase.

Damon started shouting, "Southlake Corporation is run by a bunch of scammers! Their products are all harmful! My friend died, but they refuse to admit their wrongdoing! If you don't give me a good explanation today, I'm going to wreck this store!"

The other customers were swayed by his claims and started crying out in fury.

"Give me a refund!"

"Me too!"

"Who would've thought we'd die after eating their products?"

The store manager froze in a daze. Damon's arrival had completely disrupted the store's sales.

Upon seeing that, Damon smirked. He had achieved his goal.

"Start moving, men! These people are scammers! Smash anything you can get your hands on!"
