The Almighty Lord Caspian novel Chapter 613

The remaining enemy soldiers could not resist the revitalized Diatoran troops in Southlake City.

Coupled with the support of fighter planes, the enemy troops were being cleaned up left and right.

Sylvia's and Desmond's troops each headed for the Archer residence with great morale.

The reinforcements sent by Viktor were already blown into smithereens before they even reached the Hudson residence.

Meanwhile, at the Archer residence, Viktor angrily complained, "Robert, that bastard! Didn't he always boast about how powerful he was? And now he's dead!"

A senior officer chimed in, "Yeah, Robert always claimed that he could defeat Caspian by himself. Turns out he was just overestimating himself!"

Another officer commented, "Robert planned to join us after defeating Caspian. Seems like it won't be happening now."

Viktor hurriedly explained, "We should begin preparing to deal with Caspian's troops."

"I think we should call back our reinforcements and set up defenses around the Archer residence while we wait for reinforcements from the International Alliance."

Viktor ordered, "Very well. Call back our reinforcements! We'll set up defenses here!"

The next moment, an intelligence officer ran into the room. "General Obrien! Bad news!"

Viktor frowned at the man and asked, "What is it?"

He felt that something bad was coming.

"The reinforcements we had sent to Robert were completely wiped out by Diatoran fighter planes!"

Viktor was shocked beyond relief upon hearing the news that his men were all annihilated.

"General Obrien!" Another intelligence officer ran into the room.

Viktor impatiently asked, "What is it?"

"Our troops stationed on the coastline alongside our Vadesian allies were also wiped out by Diatoran forces!"

Viktor fell into despair. "What? How is that possible?"

"The Diatoran forces are now gathering around us! We're in danger!"

Viktor subconsciously swallowed as he started getting nervous.

One of the officers asked, "What should we do, General Obrien?"

"How am I supposed to know? Robert, that bastard! He asked me for reinforcements, and now he's gone along with my troops! We don't have much left to defend ourselves! What else can we do?"

One of the strategic officers replied, "Please calm down, General Obrien. We should think about how to deal with Caspian's men."

Viktor angrily replied, "There's nothing we can do. We only have 70 thousand men left, while hundreds of thousands of Diatoran troops are closing in on us. We have no chance of winning this."

It was the first time he had become so frustrated.

"General Obrien, I believe you can come up with a perfect solution with your experience! You must remain calm!"

Viktor shook his head. "We're alone in Southlake City. Nobody is coming to save us."

"We should give His Majesty a call and ask for reinforcements from the International Alliance! They might be able to deal with Diatoran!"

Viktor was about to lose all hope. "What about me?"

"Don't worry. I'll talk to the King of Diatoran and make sure that you'll all get out alive."

"I see. Please make haste, Your Majesty."

"I know. You must hold on until then, Viktor. Astronia can't afford to lose a Champion like you!"

Meanwhile, Caspian, Sylvia, and Desmond had arrived outside of the Archer residence with the rest of their troops.

The entire army had completely surrounded the Archer residence.

A hundred thousand Diatoran troops held a major advantage over the meager ten thousand Astronian troops.

As soon as Viktor hung up the call, he began to hear gunfire coming from outside.

An officer ran in to make a report. "General, Caspian's men have arrived!"

"Stay calm, we must hold on! His Majesty is now attempting for a ceasefire with the King of Diatoran!"

Viktor had no other option but to trust Ted.

He could only trust that Ted would stop the war, or they would all be killed in a matter of minutes.

Viktor realized that he might suffer the same fate as Robert, perhaps even worse.
