The Almighty Lord Caspian novel Chapter 744

Everyone didn't dare to speak up after witnessing Balthazar's fury.

Balthazar declared, "Jerry, I'll leave the matter of allying with Filren to you."

Jerry replied, "Thank you, Your Majesty!"

All four Champions were in disbelief as Balthazar remained stubborn.

They were also puzzled as to why the usually tough-willed and unyielding Balthazar was seemingly behaving like a different person.

Jerry realized just how much the four Champions favored Caspian as their leader. He decided to deal with Caspian as soon as possible lest he be reinstated to his post.

Meanwhile, in Southlake City.

Tom and Aria were discharged from the hospital.

Caspian was very grateful to Tom and Aria for saving Sherry's life. Therefore, he invited the two to his house for a meal.

Miranda was also invited.

Both Tom and Aria were overjoyed. Caspian might be nothing more than a civilian now, but they still treated him as the Diatoranian God of War.

They happily accepted the invitation.

After the meal, Caspian decided to let both Tom and Aria stay in his house for a few days as a way of expressing his gratitude.

Aria also had another objective in mind while living in Caspian's house. It was so that she could serve as his bodyguard.

Caspian no longer had his armored battalion, and even Sylvia was sent far away.

Besides, as a member of Task Force Rose, Aria was permitted to carry a gun.

Caspian asked, "Tom, how good are you with a weapon?"

Tom replied, "I'm just so-so. But nowhere close to the actual experts."

"I've never seen you with a weapon, though?"

"Well, there's way too many security checks in Southlake City. I wouldn't know what to do if I were to be detained."

Caspian nodded and replied, "That makes sense. But anyway, you should still be careful of your surroundings for now. The people who failed to assassinate you will definitely be back to finish the job."

Tom replied, "I know. They're after my Black Moon Technique Scroll."

"Stay in my house for now. We'll be able to watch each other's backs."

Tom didn't reject the offer.

After everyone had retreated to their rooms, Caspian went out of the house to study the Eldorian Scroll fragment again.

But this time, Willow insisted on following him.

Caspian couldn't convince her otherwise and decided to bring her along.

Willow asked, "You're already plenty strong, hubby. Have you studied traditional martial arts before?"

Caspian explained, "I did. I used to have a teacher who was a traditional martial arts expert."

The next second, all the birds in the surrounding trees flew away.

The atmosphere around the place turned unusual.

Caspian felt an intense surge of killing intent coming toward him.

Willow was terrified and latched onto Caspian's arm. "What's going on? Is this place haunted? We should get back inside!"

"I'm afraid that won't be possible," Caspian answered as he continued to scan his surroundings.

In the next second, countless silhouettes appeared from all directions.

Willow was terrified by the scene.

She could tell that they had come prepared.

Each and every one of the strangers had a weapon in their hands.

Their weapons coldly glinted in the moonlight.

They wore a black suit that matched their expressionless face. Their murderous intent was so potent that it had even caused the nearby temperature to drop.
