The Almighty Lord Caspian novel Chapter 768

Caspian replied, "Understood. If I encounter any problems in the future, I'll report them to the Inspector General's office immediately.

"Your Majesty, you awarded me the Diatoranian medal five years ago today. If possible, I would like to return to serve Diatoran by your side."

"There will be opportunities. Just stay still for now. Take this time to reflect."

Caspian's expression turned ugly at Balthazar's words.

He was probing Balthazar earlier. Nothing had happened five years ago on this day. The day he was honored with the title of Diatoranian God of War coincided with Diatoran's victory. Balthazar couldn't have forgotten.

"By the way, do you know the details of what happened to the Massey family and why your father, Logan, was disgraced?" Balthazar asked.

Caspian was stunned for a moment at the mention of this topic. Why would Balthazar suddenly bring this up?

"I don't," Caspian respectfully replied.

He sensed something amiss. Balthazar was behaving very strangely.

"Because Logan deliberately abandoned you. Also, your mother didn't run away from home. Logan drove her out."

Caspian might have believed Balthazar's words in the past. But after their strange conversation, he began to have doubts.

He hadn't asked Balthazar about this, yet Balthazar suddenly mentioned the Massey family. Clearly, it was brought up with a strong purpose.

Balthazar wanted to further strain Caspian's relationship with the Massey family.

Caspian was now sure that Balthazar had indeed been manipulated. However, he wasn't sure why Balthazar was being threatened by Jerry.

"I would never acknowledge a person like Logan as my father. I'd rather kill him," Caspian deliberately said.

He knew that only by expressing his stance could he appease Jerry.

After all, Jerry's greatest fear was Caspian regaining control of the military.

"Nevertheless, you must not fully trust everything Logan says," Balthazar said before ending the call.

At the King's residence, Balthazar collapsed as soon as he hung up the phone.

"Hahaha! Caspian is quite funny. He's already in trouble himself, but he still wants to return to the king's side," Zane sneered.

"Although Caspian has lost his official position, he still commands respect. It might be difficult to deal with him," Jerry expressed his concern.

"Dad, you're overestimating Caspian. He's now a lone wolf without military power. We have no reason to fear him," Kelvin dismissed.

"Who knows for sure? Caspian was dismissed by the king before, but the king still called him back. To prevent such a thing from happening again, I must issue an order in the king's name so that he'll never recall Caspian again.

"This way, Caspian's followers will give up on him entirely," Jerry said sinisterly.

"Dad, this move is like removing the source of trouble! By then, nobody will stand by Caspian's side anymore. We must capture Caspian alive and torture him."

On the other end, Caspian was filled with doubts after the call. He couldn't understand why Balthazar didn't seek help despite being controlled.

He then called Laina.

"Yes, Lord Caspian?" Laina answered respectfully.

"How's the investigation going?" Caspian asked.
