The Almighty Lord Caspian novel Chapter 772

Carl's face flushed, and Kate also felt somewhat embarrassed. She tried to hand over the hen from Carl's hand, but she lost her grip, and the hen started running around on the ground.

It took Miranda and Cecilia a great deal of effort to catch it.

Caspian furrowed his brows, and Willow felt a bit embarrassed seeing this scene.

Both Kate and Sherry were elders. However, they were so different and couldn't be compared with each other.

Carl apologized. "Willow, Caspian, the Stewart family hasn't had deals for a long time, and with so many mouths to feed, we're really struggling."

"Dad, I've saved up some money myself. Use it for now. I haven't been working for a long time either," Willow said.

"What? I'm not here to ask you for money. Since the Stewart family is in trouble now, I tried to find work elsewhere, but Mom thought I was disgracing the family and made me resign." Carl quickly shook his head.

"Dad, Southlake Corporation isn't rebuilt yet. I can't help you either. Caspian has lost his position, too. All we can do is wait and see if the government will provide compensation," Willow said in a low voice.

Upon hearing Willow's words, Kate stepped forward and said sarcastically, "When Caspian was the Diatoranian God of War, he didn't help the Stewart family much, right?

"Now that you're the Massey family's daughter-in-law, Mr. Massey surely can help us even if Caspian can't."

"The main issue is that many industries in Southlake Corporation are struggling. Unless the reconstruction is complete, it'll be difficult to restore the business," Willow said helplessly.

Southlake Corporation had become a ruin, and all its employees had become unemployed.

Fortunately, the profits from its subsidiaries supported them, or they wouldn't be able to survive.

"Mr. Massey holds a high position. There will surely be many projects in the reconstruction of Southlake City.

"As long as he speaks a word for us, the Stewart family will surely make a lot of profit when we take over the project. If not, we'll give him some dividends. After all, we both share the same surname!"

Kate was entirely fixated on making money that she didn't realize someone like Logan wouldn't care about a small dividend.

"Mom, the reconstruction of Southlake City has nothing to do with Mr. Massey," Willow said, somewhat displeased.

She could sense that Caspian was getting irritated, and it would be troublesome if he lost his temper.

"With Mr. Massey's status, as long as he says the word, who would dare to refuse him? Your grandma has already said that as long as we take over the project, we can give Mr. Massey 20% of the profits!"

"If there's nothing else, you can leave now," Caspian urged them to leave as he was getting impatient.

Kate, indeed, was only interested in money.

She was somewhat jealous that Caspian could be so lucky to be the heir of the Massey family.

"I haven't seen Sherry for a long time. I need to have a good chat with her," Kate shamelessly said and shook Sherry's hand.

Sherry didn't know what to say as there wasn't much to talk about between her and Kate.

The two of them could only sit on the couch and watch TV. Unexpectedly, the TV was airing news related to Caspian.

"The once-mighty Lord Caspian has done such a treacherous thing. It's truly heart-wrenching!" a male host said angrily.

"Who would've thought? Many young people used to look up to Caspian as a role model and even as the nation's husband. But with this news, Caspian's image has completely collapsed!"

"Let's look at the latest orders from His Majesty!"

"Mom, I'm willing to stay with Caspian forever, regardless of his status," Willow said loudly and clung tightly to Caspian.

"A family without brains! I don't want to bother with you. Give me back my tea and hen," Kate said unkindly.

Since Caspian couldn't return to the Massey family, there was no need for her to continue being polite.

Although the herbal tea was about to expire, Kate wasn't the kind of person to give things away for nothing. If she couldn't get any returns, she wouldn't give a penny to others.

Everyone witnessed Kate's eccentric personality.

Cecilia had heard about Kate before. She threw the hen in her hand out, and it nearly hit Kate.

Seeing her panicked expression, Sherry covered her mouth and laughed.

Kate was about to burst out cursing, but when she saw Caspian's angry gaze, she didn't dare to say a word.

She was well aware of Caspian's methods.

So she vented her anger on Carl.

"You useless thing, get the things back, and let's go home," Kate snapped.

"How can we take back the things we've given away," Carl retorted.

Little did they know, Caspian, who had been silent all along, pulled out his Diatanium dagger.
