The tent was filled with a heave silence after the elders left, their siber faces still lingering in my mind. I sat cross–legged on the rough floor, trying to process everything we had just learned.

I frowned, trying to piece together a plan in my mind. “There has to be another way,” I muttered, “There’s no guarantee the witches strong enough to open a portal are even still alive.”

Isaiah glanced between us, his brow furrowed. “We have to be smart about this. If we’re not careful, we’ll be walking right into- another trap.“.

Mirabel exchanged a glance with another witch before speaking up. There’s another possibility… but I’ve only read about it”

During certain lunar cycles, the veil thins, allowing powerful beings to cross over. Silver Wolves can manipulate it–kind of like teleporting without needing portal.”
