The world seemed to hold its breath as we crossed into the heart of the military base, the eerie silence of the night broken only by the sound of wind and our footsteps. The air felt heavy with anticipation, and my heart raced in my chest, not from fear, but from the overwhelming weight of what was to come. The moonlight bathed everything in a pale glow, casting long shadows across the barren land. The shadows would be my allies tonight, but soon, I knew, they would be the least of our worries.
Tonight, we weren’t just fighting for survival–we were fighting for everything.
I could feel the power thrumming through me as we approached the first line of defense. Rowena, walked beside me, her gaze scanning the horizon as she subtly whispered incantations under her breath. Her magic rippled the air around us, sending shivers down my spine. I knew that without her help, without the witches by our side, this fight would be over before it even started.
My mates were silent, their eyes alert, their bodies poised for action. They understood what was at stake, just as much as I did. Elijah, Isaiah and the twinsAustin, and the stood beside me, their presence a solid anchor in the chaos. They had seen me through the darkest times of my life, and I knew they would stand by me through this, no matter the cost.
We arrived at the command post, a cluster of military jeeps, armored trucks, and soldiers standing in tight formation. The air felt charged, as if the very earth itself was waiting for something to break. I took a deep breath and stepped forward, my eyes locking onto the soldiers. The humans under the Shadow Weaver’s control. They were just pawns, trapped in a game they didn’t understand.
“This is not your fight,” I called out, my voice ringing across the clearing.
The soldiers stood still, eyes empty. They weren’t thinking for themselves. The Shadow Weaver’s influence had infected them, twisted them into something they were not. I couldn’t hate them for that. They had been manipulated, just like the werewolves and witches who had fallen under the Shadow Weaver’s control.
A tall, broad–shouldered man stepped forward from the ranks. His eyes were dull, his face set in grim determination.
“You must be whole they call the silver wolf,” he said, his voice flat, devoid of emotion. “Surrender or We wont have a choice but to capture you dead or alive.”
I took another step forward. “Like I said this is not your fight,” I called out, my voice echoing across the battlefield. “Step aside while you still can.”
I felt the moon’s essence rising in me, a crackle of silver light apperead around me. But before I could act, Rowena’s magic surged. The witches were ready.
With a single motion, Rowena raised her hand, and suddenly, the soldiers‘ weapons–guns, knives, and tanks–turned to dust. The tanks crumbled, their massive metal forms disintegrating into rust and ash, The jeeps and armored vehicles followed, their wheels and engines losing all power in an instant. The helicopters that hovered overhead burst into flames, their metallic frames twisting in mid–air before crashing to the ground in a fiery wreck.
It was beautiful, and yet it filled me with sorrow. The humans didn’t deserve this. But this wasn’t their was to fight.
The soldiers blinked in confusion, their minds struggling to process what had just happened. A few of them dropped their weapons and backed away, fear creeping into their eyes. But it was too late for them to turn back.
Go,” I called out to them. “While you still can.”
The commander turned to his soldiers, his face twisted with uncertainty. He wanted to fight, but I could see the hesitation in his eyes. The spell had already taken its toll.
But as the soldiers hesitated, a much darker presence appeared.
From the shadows, the Umbrakins emerged–tall, lean creatures with unnaturally long limbs and hollow eyes that glowed with an

unsettling light. They were fast and brutal, their claws sharp enough to tear through the toughest steel. Behind them came the Children of the Eclipse, dark figures cloaked in shadows, their presence filling the air with an oppressive weight. Their eyes gleamed with malice, and I could feel the rage radiating from them.
The Umbrakins didn’t hesitate. They attacked, their bodies moving with unnatural speed as they lunged at the nearest werewolves
and witches.
The battle exploded.
The ground shook as werewolves shifted, their forms blending into the chaos. Fangs clashed against claws. Witches sent bursts of fire and ice into the ranks of the Children of the Eclipse.
I leaped into action. My claws extended, as I shifted halfwalf. Austin appeared fire igniting in the palms of his hands. With a swift motion, he sliced through the air, sending a surge of energy that tore through the line of umbrakins, they all collapsed to the ground with a sickening thud.
