The Alpha’s Contract (Taylor West) novel Chapter 218

The large door is pulled back and a female around my age gives us a warm smile.

“Can I help?”

“I’m looking for the Alpha.” I keep my voice light.

“He is in a meeting right now.” Her eyes glance at a simple wristwatch. “He should be done soon if you are willing to wait.”

“Sure.” I return her smile, she was too oblivious to notice it was as fake as the designer blouse she is wearing.

We are waiting for less than ten minutes before someone leaves the office. A few more minutes pass and a large man steps out. A navy blue suit that had been tailored to fit him perfectly.

Loose blonde curls sit on top of his head, his green eyes bright like emeralds

“Hi, I’m Alpha Ryan, how can I help you?” He is friendly and welcoming, not like so many other Alpha’s that I had come across. It was unusual and a little off putting.

“I believe you know Jenson.” I point to the man at my side.

The Alpha smiles as he looks him up and down, “You’ve certainly landed on your feet. How’s your brother?”

“Good. He is a father now.”

I was amazed by Jensons ability to push down the hatred he had developed. Normally he couldn’t hide a single drop.

“Really?” He looked around to the woman who had let us in. “Please send my congratulations to Dane and his mate.”

She scribbles something down.

“I know Roan and Dane had their issues, but I don’t intend on following in his footsteps. Sorry,” He turns back to me, “I didn’t catch your name.”

        She made an author note explaining that they’ll be less & shorter updates through out September. I can’t wait for it to amp up again!!!

        Hi, I’m usually a silent reader, and first of all, I love the story, but is it possible to avoid the blue texts? Cuz a lot of us are missing a lot of the story due to the texts not loading. I am missing a lot no matter have many times I try to reload. If not, that’s okay as well. Thank you for the amazing entertainment and content...

          Yes! My blue code was working all the way until maybe a week ago so I had to do constant refreshes. Also, I too have been having constant pop ups when typing in the code. For some reason it’s getting harder to close the other pop up’s as well.

          I'm having the same issue and, missing a lot of the story because the blue texts wont load. As well as constant pop ups and windows open anytime I click on the page just to enter the code or anything.

          Is it just me or are the blue text not loading and every other time I try the captcha it pops up a new tab? Other than that live the story...

            It does that with other stories too. I think it’s because this is not one of the agreed sites by the Author. The amount of guessing I’m having to do with not just this story but the others I’m reading (boredom strikes when updates don’t) is unreal. Updates have slowed down massively this year and translations are terrible too. I’d hoped this was different as the only one I’m reading that is originally English but it’s just the same.

              I love the way you are continuing the story. It's easy to follow, easy to pause, and easy to get back on track with. Me having three little children, it's hard to find "me time" but when I do I get caught up with this book. I love it!!!!...
