“Did my darkness….”

“No.” He mutters before I get a chance to finish

“Did…did something happen?” Athena had said there were no dead bodies.

“You don’t need to concern yourself with my problems, Neah.”

“Is Dorothy okay?”

“Dorothy is fine. Let it go!” He starts walking again and I run to keep up with his long strides.

“What is wrong?” It had to be something bad, but the guy could protect himself. I had seen it more than once.

He stops again. “I came here to do a job. The job is what I will do. I will try to help you with this other problem. After that, Dorothy and I are leaving.” He looks up at the sky. “You are taking the piss!”

I was quite tempted to ask who he was talking to, but my mouth stays shut. When Abraxas starts moving again, I don’t.

‘He’s plotting to kill us.’ Nyx mutters ‘It’s easier to keep secrets when you don’t have to talk to them.’

I close my eyes, trying to find my own way to block her when I smell Dane coming towards me.

He comes up behind me. His hands gliding over my hips and moving around until he laces his fingers together. “We will find a way to get through this.”

“I hope so.” I whisper back. “I’m just….”

“They will find a way. We will find a way.”

“Not that. Abraxas is being weird.”

“Brax is weird.” He presses his lips against my neck

“Weirder than usual.” I mutter. I knew something was up

        She made an author note explaining that they’ll be less & shorter updates through out September. I can’t wait for it to amp up again!!!

        Hi, I’m usually a silent reader, and first of all, I love the story, but is it possible to avoid the blue texts? Cuz a lot of us are missing a lot of the story due to the texts not loading.           Yes! My blue code was working all the way until maybe a week ago so I had to do constant refreshes. Also, I too have been having constant pop ups when typing in the code. For some reason it’s getting harder to close the other pop up’s as well.

          I'm having the same issue and, missing a lot of the story because the blue texts wont load. As well as constant pop ups and windows open anytime I click on the page just to enter the code or anything.

            It does that with other stories too. I think it’s because this is not one of the agreed sites by the Author. The amount of guessing I’m having to do with not just this story but the others I’m reading (boredom strikes when updates don’t) is unreal. Updates have slowed down massively this year and translations are terrible too. I’d hoped this was different as the only one I’m reading that is originally English but it’s just the same.

              I love the way you are continuing the story. It's easy to follow, easy to pause, and easy to get back on track with. Me having three little children, it's hard to find "me time" but when I do I get caught up with this book. I love it!!!!...
