Chapter 156 

“What is happening? Why is everywhere dark?” Everyone began to complain, murmuring to each other, but the light returned soon after, projecting the image of a woman dressed in all–black attire. 

No one knew from where she arrived and how she entered the auditorium. Dennis scrambled from the floor but fell several times due to the blindness until the woman waved her hand. 

His sight was restored instantly, and he knelt before her. 

Alpha Nick recognized the woman very well, and his anger burned at the sight of her. 

“Lavender,” Alpha Nick raged. “What do you want?” He asked, knowing she was behind everything. 

How could she even send Dennis to kill Daisy? Alpha Nick was not taking it kindly. He would have to kill the witch to save his sweetheart. 

Her long fingers pointed at Daisy in her mother’s arms, but instantly, everything turned into darkness around her. 

“Don’t point a finger at me,” Daisy said. Sheridan was sweating bullets, not knowing what had happened. 

Daisy’s voice sounded childish, but the words were too heavy for her age. The little girl was attracting too much unwanted attention, which Sheridan did not think was good for her. 

Then again, she was still wondering if Daisy was the one responsible for Lavender’s blindness. 

Athena said Daisy would only use the powers to protect herself until the time she got her wolf, but Sheridan could swear that the girl was already doing so. 

Lavender tried to heal her own blindness but failed miserably. “Tell your daughter to undo what she just did.” 

Everyone looked at her like she was insane. How could this innocent child cause the blindness of a great witch? However, Alpha Nick and Sheridan knew exactly what she was talking about. 

“Not until you tell us why you wanted her killed,” Alpha Nick demanded, enraged. Daisy did a good job, but he had to find out later if it was healthy for her to be using her powers like this. 

“That’s because she’s stronger than me.” Lavender did not mind confessing it, but her words sent a clear message that Daisy was beyond the toddler they were seeing with their physical eyes. 

“I’m glad you admit it. You can leave now,” Alpha Nick said seriously, but Lavender did not intend to leave without eliminating Daisy. 

How could she allow a small child to be stronger than her? It was completely out of the question. Still, she would not be able to do what she wanted without her sight. 

“What about my sight?” She asked. Sheridan and Nick spoke at the same time. 

“She did not tell you to target her, did she?” Sheridan stared at her daughter and whispered in her ears, asking. “Did you do that too?” 

Daisy laughed and nodded her head excitedly. She was enjoying the things she was doing, making Sheridan wonder if it was right. 

“I would not have known about her if you had not contracted me,” Lavender accused Alpha Nick. He knew that getting involved with witches warranted dire consequences but took the risk for the sake of his daughter. 

“She is the one I wanted you to rescue but was brought to me by her assailants themselves. What did you want me to do?”

Chapter 156 

Nick did not hide her annoyance, and onlookers had no understanding of everything going on. 

Lavender accused him openly. “You broke the contract. No one contracts me and goes back on it. I arrived at the pack, and your warriors sent me away by your command.” 

Alpha Nick indeed did that but had no regrets. “I still paid you.” 

“With this.” She dropped a bag full of money on the floor. “I don’t want it. I want her.” Though blinded, she was sensitive to her environment but insisting wanted Daisy, Alpha Nick’s anger boiled, and so did Sheridan. They spoke together once 

more.

“You will never have her.” 

Everyone kept wondering how Alpha Nick and Luna Sheridan kept repeating the same thing as if they rehearsed it. 

Lavender forcefully calmed herself and tried to play with their minds. “Then tell her to heal my blindness. It was your fault for coming to me so you can’t blame me.” 

“We ended the contract. Your services were no longer needed,” Alpha Nick raged in an Alpha tone. Lavender feared, but since she was blinded and could not see the rage in his eyes, she stomached it quite well. 

“It’s either she undoes it, or I will place a curse on her.” 

Everyone began to fear the little girl as she said. “No. She will kill everybody.” 

Alpha Nick’s gaze darkened, and Sheridan wanted to kill Lavender with her bare hands. At first, she ruined her nephew’s child dedication, and now, she has the guts to play smart and kill everyone? No way. 

“Is what she says true?” Alpha Nick asked Lavender, but this time, the witch was afraid of the little girl. The powers possessed by Daisy were too great for her to combat. 

“How did she know what I had in mind?” Lavender unintentionally revealed through her question. Alpha spoke in a dangerously calm tone.
