Alpha Nick was not ready to barge in, and knowing his bad temper, Sheila was nervous but adhered to the request. Alpha Nick would easily get violent when angered, and right now, he looked like he wanted to murder all the men around Sheila.

Alpha Ansaldo was seething with rage as Alpha Nick led Sheila to a quiet place. Sheila was only thinking about the opportunities she might lose if Alpha Nick made things difficult for her.

The whole business thing might just turn into an ex–contract Luna saga, instead of the business opportunity she

craved. 

“I’m afraid you have

to make whatever you want to discuss snappy. Which of my branches are you interested in?” Sheila maintained a professional tone, at the same time avoiding the intense gaze lingering on her.

Alpha Nick was both mesmerized and upset. How could she treat him as just a business partner?

“Sheila, I don’t mind the partnership and all, but are you going to say that you haven’t lied to me?”

Alpha Nick would not mind extending the business aspect of his pack. That was his main purpose for coming too, except he was blown away by his ex–contract Luna.

“Excuse me, I don’t know what you are talking about,” Sheila said coldly, as she continued in the pretense of not knowing him. Alpha Nick could not care about the level of her pretense.

Since they met again, he didn’t want the communication line to break again. “Have you unblocked my number?”

Sheila’s hands balled into fists as she was unwilling to unblock his number. If their discussion was solely business, she would have given him the contact number of one of her managers but it seemed to her that Alpha Nick was not there for business.

“Now I see you got it wrong. I will go and attend to the other guests.” She turned to leave when Alpha Nick. grabbed her by the arm.

“Sheila.”

Sheila turned around, facing him with a cold glare. “I’m Sherry. Who is Sheila?” Sheila was an orphan and a pauper, but Sherry was the short form of Sheridan, the Alpha King’s only daughter and CEO of Sherry’s Couture

Alpha Nick was enraged. He couldn’t stand the fact that she continued in the pretense of not knowing him. He wondered why she used red lipstick and wore a red dress. Was she here to only catch business attention or also the attention of the single men around?

“If you continue lying to me, I will kiss you right here in the open,” Alpha Nick dared her. They never even shared a peck throughout their six months contract marriage, but he was daring to kiss her in the open when his mate was somewhere around.

Sheila felt insulted but remained composed, not forgetting her reason for being here..

“And how will you explain it to your little mate?” She asked coyly, knowing that reminding him of Charlotte was the only way to cause him to back down.
