Goldie was feeling strange and uneasy. It was a feeling she could not put into words, and she began to search for Sheila, but the latter was nowhere to be found.

Somehow, this strange feeling seemed to be leading her somewhere, and it was as if she had lost control of herself.

It was only when she reached the garden that she felt a little bit at ease. However, she was surprised to see two people engaged in a disgusting kiss, as if they were chewing each other’s mouths. It was night, but there were still some empty rooms since the event was being held in a hotel.

The woman’s dress was rolled up to the top, with her thighs exposed, and the man’s fingers were in her intimate parts. Goldie was disgusted. They could have gotten a room to quench their burning desire instead of doing this.

About to turn away, the man pulled away, turned around, and stared into her eyes, “mate.”

Tom had only pulled away because he felt a bond. It was the reason he decided to check his environment. For the past years, he had waited, but he was never opportune to feel it until he fell in love with Charlotte and forgot all about it.

His mate was stunning with blonde hair like the morning sunlight, but her eyes were dark as she glared at him with disgust.

Goldie recalled Charlotte, disappointment filling her chest. It was because of this woman that Alpha Nick treated Sheila so poorly.

“You. Are you not Alpha Nick’s mate?” She asked, sounding accusing.

It hurt so bad that after waiting for this long, her mate turned out to be a jerk. Charlotte was hiding her face, afraid that Goldie would take pictures or blow the trumpet of her evil deeds.

If that happened, Alpha Nick would reject her. As she thought about what to do, she was surprised to hear some cold words from Goldie instead.

“I, Goldie Warner, reject you as my mate.”

She would rather die unmated. Tom did not hesitate and replied, “I, Thomas Addy, accept your rejection.”

Her beauty had almost blinded him, but knowing what she saw and the fact that he was already in love with another woman, it was indeed the right thing to do, and his mate made it easy for him.

He had no idea who she even was. Pain shot through both their hearts incredulously as Goldie balled her hands, as if trying to numb the pain from the broken bond. She didn’t want to show any weakness at the sight of the shameless couple and spat,

“I can’t believe Alpha Nick left his Luna for a disgusting thing like you. I wish he knew the kind of mate you are.”

Charlotte was afraid that she was going to tell Alpha Nick, tugging on Tom’s sleeve. “She will tell on us.”

By the time the realization hit both of them that they hadn’t gotten the money yet and their secrets might be exposed, Goldie was already gone before they could try to do anything to her.

“Nick,” she began to look around worriedly. Tom’s heart sank. Before he uttered a word, she was already strutting to the auditorium, saying, “I have to find him. I need to face him and explain. You should leave until things settle.”

Charlotte shivered. Tom was going to make things hard for her. It wasn’t as if he was ready to back down. Charlotte was at a loss for words. If she wasn’t careful, she would lose her mate entirely.
