The Art Of Revenge
Jessica’s pov
As I stared at the bit*h with the gun pointed at me, my heart stopped. I had never imagined the picture I was staring at. Victor was handcuffed, his eyes swollen and bloodied, and he had blood all over his mouth and clothes. Thalia stood beside him, holding a gun and what appeared to be pepper spray. The woman was plainly insane. As she directed, I lifted my hands and quickly pushed on the door as per her instruction, ignoring Victor’s calls to call for help.
I was terrified; there was far too much blood for me to believe she wouldn’t blow off my head and get away with it. There was nothing inside the black coat that I wore. I was completely naked, and any movement or attempts to grab the gun would expose me. Visiting a father in raw in nothing but a coat would be the biggest scandal in the country. I had to play nice, we’ve had a lot of scandals and are scared or risk being exposed.
I had gone over to surprise Victor with a sex snack that he was meant to fantasize about for the rest of the day. We never did it in the morning but on that particular day, I woke up h*rny and found he had already left for work so I decided to surprise him but I had no clue the ex-daughter-in-law was planning a full-fledged assault the same morning.
“Take a seat,” she said, motioning to a chair near Victor. “What exactly is your plan here? You will not get away with murdering us, ” I warned her.
” By the way, how is Josh doing? He seems to be getting fatter by the day; what are you feeding him?” she inquired, a sleek smile on her face. I averted my gaze since I didn’t want to bring up my
Useless husband.
“How’s the marriage going? Is it as rosy as you hoped for when you finally won his heart and got rid of me?” she inquired. I could hear the mockery in her voice; she was well aware of how messed up my marriage was, which was all thanks to her. I averted my gaze and folded my arms.
She walked to where I was sitting and pepper-sprayed me right in the eyes, much to my surprise. As I shouted out in agony, my eyes felt like they were on fire. I tried to stand up but she aimed the gun at my stomach. I froze because I knew something was supposed to be cooking in there, even though it was way too early. Victor, too, took a breath and came to a halt with his screaming. For a breath second we shared a stare but quickly looked away, even the pepper spray in our eyes seemed to have vanished at that particular moment.
“Let me make myself clear, when I ask you a question please be quick to answer,” she warned. The last thing I needed was a hole in my stomach, so I hurriedly nodded in terror.
“Now I’ll ask you another question: how is your relationship with my ex? Is he behaving and not treating you like an animal?” She asked as if she had gone crazy. I rubbed my eyes, they became itchy.
“Hey sk*nk, you’re demoralizing me!” she stated
“My eyes hurt, you’re a m*ron… I tried to scream, but before I could finish my statement, she forced the gun into my mouth, nearly touching the back of my throat. I felt like suffocating, the sensation was nauseating, especially because I was still recuperating from the spray in my eyes. I tried to take the gun away from her, but she pepper-sprayed me again. I had no choice but to let go of her and wipe my eyes.
“What’s the f**k is wrong with you?” I sobbed. It was like humiliation was following me everywhere I went. Victor was cursing her and attempting to free himself, but she merely smiled and told us to quit fighting the process. She’d gone insane.
“Will you answer the question or will I have to spray you?”
“Josh is the worst person I’ve ever known!” I stated as her serious face began to curve into a smile. I looked in Victor’s direction but he looked away. I continued, “Is that the information you are itching to hear? How your ex is treating me. Is Brandon Fraser so boring that you are always thinking about how Josh is treating me? I screamed at her.
“You know it’s too hot, you may take off your coat,” she said, chuckling as she moved to the side of my table.
