The Babysitter novel Chapter 51

Chapter 51: (Aubrey's POV)- Epilogue

"Do not speed, we are on time!" I exclaimed as we pulled out of my driveway and headed to school. Summer break was over and I was very upset over that because we now had to start school.

But I was squealing and could not get over the fact that Xavier and I were still together and were doing better than ever. I had managed to convince him that ignorance is bliss and ignore Peter which only sped up the process of Peter leaving us alone. We were in the jeep and were going to school for our first day as I fed him fruits while eating myself too.

We had most classes together which I can't tell is a good thing or a bad one because while it will lead to distractions, I'll have the best company with me. "I'm not speeding!" he laughed as he started the fifteen minutes drive. I played some music as we talked, ate and joked until we got to school.

Once we got there, we sat against our lockers and talked with Ace and Vi about how we already wanted to go back home. The first bell rang, signaling homeroom. I sat with Vi while Ace and Parker sat behind us. I felt Xavier playing with my hair throughout homeroom and I couldn't help but smile to myself.

"Is there something to be smiling about, Ms. Carthy?" I've always hated this woman.

"No, Mrs. Williams, I'm sorry," I mumbled before smacking Xavier's hand away, only for him to play with my hair again. Under usual circumstances, I would love this, but with Mrs. Williams here, I'm not too sure.

The bell finally rang before I headed for Bio with Xavier beside me. "Welcome back everybody! Settle down," Mr. Rodgers greeted the class before diving straight into studies. We were halfway through the lesson when Xavier slid a note on my desk, it was a sketch of Mr. Rodgers with a gap tooth, three hairs, and some weird looking glasses.

I took the note and flipped it around writing 'who knew you were so skilled at art?' he smiled at me before going back to whatever he was doing while I went back to taking notes.

After five minutes, I got another piece of paper with a cartoon, and a lot funnier kind of disfigured face of Mrs. Williams and I lost all composure.

I tried so hard to keep my laughter in but I ended up bursting out laughing as tears started pouring down my face while Xavier began laughing with me. "Please step outside immediately."

Mr. Rodgers wasn't mad or angry he was biting back a laugh himself when he saw Mrs. Williams' portrait, luckily Xavier was smart enough to hide his. We left the classroom in uncontrollable laughter before leaning against the wall, sitting down with tears of laughter pouring down our faces.

I sighed as I finally got myself in check while wiping the tears away and turning to him. "You are a bad influence." I shook my head while smiling.

"Why? Because I made you laugh?" he raised his eyebrows while smiling back.

"No," I shook my head, "Because you got us kicked out of class." I laughed slightly. I leaned my head on his shoulders and we sat there for the remainder of the class. Today is the first day and that worked in our favor since Mr. Rodgers didn't get mad and let us off the hook.

Finally, the bell rang and we went back into the room to grab our stuff before heading to our next periods which we didn't have together. I had art and he had gym.

"You should seriously consider taking art. I mean with those art skills... wow!" I joked as he walked me to class.

"I could take it, only to be with you. My art skills are too advanced." This boy. We reached my class and I leaned against the wall since I had a few minutes before the students started to file in. He handed me my bag which he said he was going to carry for me the whole day because that's what good boyfriends do and then leaned on the wall on the other side of the door, opposite to me.

"I'll see you in English?" he asked as students began walking in.

"You sure will." I nodded before we pushed ourselves off the wall. I was about to head into the class but he pulled me back by my wrist and placed his lips on mine. Someone clearing their throat after a moment pushed us apart.

"Ms. Fields." I looked down, a blush painting my cheeks while she gave me a knowing smile.

"Ms. Carthy, will you be joining my class or is Mr. Parker taking your time?" she playfully glared at him.

"I'll be right there." She nodded before heading inside. "I'll see you later." I gave him a quick kiss before going to class. I joined Vi and took the seat beside her before assessing the reference kept in front of me.
