The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage) novel Chapter 2

Rebel POV.

We have ridden for hours and have not long gone past the Mexican border. The compound isn’t far from here. It makes it easier for my uncle to get his product over the border if he has to. It still amazes me how the Moretti’s can’t be touched by anyone. It still makes me laugh.

The looks on the faces of border control when we all rolled up. They didn’t check, they just let us pass. Even though uncle Nico is the head of the Cartel. He does do work for the community and the country. He pays for homes to be built and helps those in desperate need.

I never understood how he would do that, especially when he runs the drugs and guns for the family. He may be seen as a criminal just like the rest of us, but he is trying to do what is right.

The reason the Moretti’s do this is simple: they can control and monitor what is bought in and who it is given to. What the buyers decide to do with it after that is not on us. Nonna explained it to me. That she was against it all, but nonno told her that if they didn’t do it, then someone else would. It would never stop.

I knew it was hard on her, given the fact she used to be law enforcement. A RICO agent when she was sent undercover to bring down my nonno. She didn’t know then that she would fall in love with the man she was sent to bring to justice. Or the tangled web of lies and deceit that was at play.

I know even to this day she still hates it, so doesn’t get involved in it. Her only concern has always been her family. She is also the only one who can control nonno when he is going off on a tangent.

It’s midafternoon and mom has confirmed that uncle Nico is unaware of our arrival. It will stay that way until we arrive and we take that bitch into custody. That’s if mom doesn’t kill her where she sits or stands.

Maybe I should let mom do this? Maybe just sit, relax and watch as this plays out? Either way, mom wants to do this. If this had happened before we rebuilt our relationship, I would have kicked off and threw a tantrum about not being loved. But now, now I’m not bothered. This bitch has it coming and no one will stop mom not even dad.

After a while, we pull up at the side of the road that leads to the compound. I shut my bike off and climb off. My legs feel like jello and my lower back is aching. I stretch and sigh as I watch as the SUVs and other bikes arrive. Everyone shuts off the engines and my mom is out of the SUV fast. She walks to me.

“You ok?” she asks rubbing my back and I nod at her.

“Are you?” I ask her and I know it’s a fucking dumb question, but all I see in her honey coloured eyes is utter rage. She is murderous and with good fucking reason.

“I will be once this is dealt with, then we can organise the …” she chokes, and I hug her. She breathes loudly to calm herself down.

“It’s ok mom, we will do this together. What’s the plan?” I say to her when she has calmed down, she looks at me.

“Luna was your sister and my daughter. I think it is only right that her family does this for her. We bring her justice the only way we know how,” she says. I look at my dad and he nods his head at me. He is going to let us deal with this. I look at the others here and they are all looking the same as my dad.

“What if uncle Nico tries to get involved?” I ask the question and I see it in her eyes. She will do whatever it takes to get to Sara.

“That is why Alessa and your girls are here. They will handle your uncle.” My dad says I watch as Dylan and Dante step forward. They all look menacing.

“Guards, what about them? Because if we go in there, guns blazing. They will do the same.” I say, making the obvious observations. Those men in there are loyal to my uncle. So, of course, they will protect him and, no doubt, Sara.

“Leave the guards to us. That’s why we are here. You and your mom will find her and take her. I want her head.” My dad says and I give him a quick nod as I look back at mom and she is looking at my dad. She walks to him and kisses him.

“For Luna-Skye.” She says and I look away, wiping the tears. She is right, this is for Luna. She didn’t deserve to die like that. She turned her life around and had so much she wanted to do. To do good in this world. That was taken away by the bitch who is in bed with my uncle.
