The Biker’s Mafia Princess (Angel and Savage) novel Chapter 3

Maverick POV.

Being part of a club is going to take some getting used to. I have been a nomad for the past six years, just roaming the country and living my life. Searching for something. That piece of me that is missing.

I didn’t know about Melody. If I had known sooner, I would have taken her sooner. Her bitch of a mother, if you can call her that, was neglecting her. The club she was part of should have protected her, but they didn’t. The Sons Of Hades.

The word was that the club was in dire straits. They were selling their club whores, pimping them out, beating them into submission. I don’t even want to think about what they would have done with Melody if I had never found out about her.

I was in a different territory when I heard the whispers about that club. They weren’t always like that. They were successful, but something happened and they declined rapidly. They asked for help from The Princes Of Darkness and was declined that help.

Dylan got word to me of a child who looked like me in that club. It took me three days of non-stop riding to get back to the club. Something inside of me knew he wasn’t blowing smoke up my ass.

When I arrived back there, the clubhouse was falling apart. It looked like an abandoned building. The club members and the club girls were worse for wear. They had all turned to drugs and alcohol, hard.

I was disgusted when I walk in; the place was a mess, and it stunk of piss. They had lost their way and they will never regain any form of respect from any club again.

I found Felicity on her back on the pool table, getting fucked raw by two of the members. I was livid; she was never my woman, but she was the only woman I slept with here years before. I got into a fight; it didn’t take much to knock the men out. I dragged her off the table. She could barely stand. She was out of her head on something. She even tried to grab me through my jeans and kiss me. I shoved her away from me.

We argued, and Melody was bought to me. The poor kid was dirty, her hair greasy, her clothes were too small, she was terrified. I slapped her mother and told her I was taking Melody with me. She told me I wasn’t taking her unless I paid the price.

I’m not proud of it, but I did. I had to, to get Melody out of there. So I paid that whore money, four grand. A thousand dollars for each year she was alive. I bought my daughter like she was groceries. Felicity signed her over, and I got Melody out of there.

I took her to the nearest hospital to get her checked and a DNA test was performed. We both stayed in the hospital for two weeks. Of course, the result came back that she was my daughter. The authorities got involved and went to the clubhouse, but the place was abandoned and they couldn’t find the members or Felicity anywhere.

Social Services had no problem with me looking after Melody, but they recommended that I move to another club permanently. I had already spoken to Dylan, and he agreed to take me and to help me find a home for me and my little girl.

That was two months ago. Melody is thriving, and she is doing so much better. She is gaining weight and sleeps beside me of a night. She has night terrors and will be starting therapy soon to help her overcome what she went through.

I would do anything for my little girl. I feel nothing but guilt because I didn’t know about her and this could have been avoided if I had known sooner.

Watching her this morning engaging with the other children and singing along to the songs at story time made me smile. She is being a kid and I can see the changes in her every day that she is with me.

But I couldn’t help but look at the woman sitting with pens in her hair typing away on her laptop. Harmony, the daughter of the infamous assassin, Rebel Moretti-Jackson. Daughter of Angel Moretti and Ryder Savage Jackson. Those names hold a lot of weight in both the world of the MC and the Mafia.
