AMBER is busy looking for a pajama set when someone hugged her from behind. She already can guess who it is basing from his after-shower scent.
“Rafa, I’m looking for something to wear.” Amber said.
“Don’t bother looking, you don’t need it.” Rafael said as he tried to untangled her robe.
“Rafa, stop!” She sternly said.
“But hon, you know that I can’t get enough of you.” Rafael said started kissing her nape giving her tingling sensations.
“Rafa, please. I’m tired.” She said, trying to fight the urge to hug him. “We just did it multiple times as soon as you get home.” She added.
“Fine.” Rafael sighed and grabbed a pajama set on the closet. “Wear this.”
“Thank you.” She smiled.
“By the way, did you pack enough jackets or warn clothes?” Rafael asked.
“I think so. How many days are we going to stay there?” She asked as she puts on her pajama.
“One to two months.” Rafael asked making her shocked. “I just want to have a vacation.”
“Well, you do deserve a vacation.” Amber said and hanged her robe. “What?” She asked since Rafa is sternly staring at her.
“I was notified this afternoon that you withdraw the whole two million.” He said making her flinched and she tried her best not to be bothered by it.
“Oh that, yes, I went to the mall and there are good things that caught my eye.” She said. Oh, please, believe me.
“Hmm… Is that so. What did you buy?” He asked fixing his shirt.
“Clothes and jewelries?” She answered with a question mark, and opened the jewelry box and showed it to Rafa. And she was surprised that the heirloom of their family is there. Crap! I forgot to keep it.
“This is wonderful.” Rafael said as he touched the necklace, amazement is written on his eyes. “Where did you buy this?” He asked.
“At the antique shop in the mall. I wanted to have it the moment I set my eyes on it.” She answered.
“I think I saw this somewhere.” Rafael said while looking sternly at the necklace.
“Maybe because it was an antique…” She said.
“Hmm… This most cost a fortune.” He said and looked at her.
“Actually, yes…” Amber said biting her lips. “It cost 1.5 M…”
“What?” Rafael uttered in shocked. “Is there an antique shop who sell things as high as that?”
“Yes, the store where I bought that.” Amber pouts.
“And you didn’t hesitate to buy this?”
“Why would I?” Amber asked. “I mean, I really wanted to have that, and I have the money…”
“Amber!” Rafael warned.
“Fine! It was a money I got from threatening you. But I really can’t help myself not to buy it.” Amber said. “I thought already agreed not to talk about money?” She pouts and closed the jewelry box.
Rafael let out a heavy sigh. “Give the necklace to me.” He said, making her looked at him questioning look. “If that necklace really cost that much then, we must put it in the safe.”
“I… Okay.” She agreed and give her the necklace. “That is valuable so please be careful.” She said, handing it to him. She followed Rafael on the master’s bedroom until he carefully places the necklace on the safe.
“Is this your rest house?” Amber asked in awe as she stared at the three-storey mansion in front of them. It is already afternoon when they arrived in Baguio, and she can feel the cold breeze and the pine trees that Baguio offers.
“It is my parents house.” Rafael answered. “Let’s go in, they’re waiting for us.” He said.
The amusement and excitement Amber felt a moment ago suddenly was replaced by nervousness.
“Let’s go.” Rafael said and intertwined their fingers.
“Wait!” Amber nervously said, Rafael looked at her with questioning eyes. “Your parents are here? I thought they’re at Greece?”
“They just got here yesterday.” Rafael answered. “Didn’t I already tell you last night?”
“You didn’t mention a thing about it.” She said. “Oh! Never mind that!” She added. “I’m worried that your parents may not like me.”
