Chapter 1352
Harper, standing up straight, stood in front of the hospital bed and stared at him for a while before nodding gently.
She was always resolute, once she made a decision, it was difficult for her to change it. Preston knew her personality
well.
But looking at Harper’s determined expression, Preston’s exhausted eyes gradually turned red…
“Then go.”
He collapsed onto the hospital bed, turned his head, and looked out the window.
Staring at his pale yet still handsome profile, Harper me ntally put an end to their intense and tumultuous five-year
relationship.
“Preston, goodbye.”
After the sound of footsteps faded away, Preston turned his bloodshot eyes and looked at the receding figure that didn’t even glance back, suddenly clenching his fists.
“Harper, if you walk out that door today, we will never have a chance again!”
This was his last opportunity, once missed, it would be gone.
Harper’s steps paused for a very long time, but in the end, she picked up her pace and ran out of the ward.
“Harper!”
Watching her retreating figure, Preston forced himself up, wanting to chase after her, but the pain in his spine prevented
him from moving.
“Harper…”
He collapsed onto the hospital bed, despairingly calling out her name, but that figure did not stop its footsteps despite his heart-wrenching cries.
Tears welled up in his eyes, embarrassingly rolling down and landing on the back of his hand. Preston pulled up the blanket and covered his face.
Griffon and Taya outside the door witnessed it all.
After exchanging a glance, Taya tiptoed and whispered in his
ear.
“Honey, I’ll go and check on Harper. You can go in later and
comfort Preston.”
Preston seemed to be crying, it’s better for Taya not to go at a time like this, so let Griffon handle it.
Griffon raised an eyebrow, “I’ve never comforted anyone
before.”
Taya glared at him, “I believe in you.”
After saying that, she turned around, taking Peter with her to
catch up with Harper.
When Harper ran out of the ward just now, she looked lost and confused. I wonder how she is now.
After Taya walked away, Griffon crossed his arms and leaned against the wall, waiting for the people inside to calm down. before stepping in.
As the tall and handsome man entered, he pulled out a chair in front of the hospital bed, crossed his long legs, and assumed a posture of scrutinizing a criminal.
“Besides losing in a pup-period toy sna tch, I’ve never seen you
cry.”
From pup period to adulthood, Preston was always popular
and a little bit of a bully. No one dared to make him cry. This was probably the first time, and Harper was quite formidable.
Preston lifted his bloodshot eyes, glanced at Griffon, and usually he would have retorted stubbornly, but this time he
chose to remain silent.
